We've already decorated our tree. We've started the sale. But seems like we're forgetting something.

Oh! That's right! It's not the holidays without a chance to visit GOG.com, looking for new and interesting ways that Coala has photo-chopped wintery iconography into them. It's a tradition that we're continuing for our fourth year!

The contest is simple: go through our catalog; we've edited 12 images, scattered across our wide selection of games, to include obvious holiday references, such as santa hats, Christmas trees, or reindeer. For an example, take a look at one of our screenshots from last year:

When you’ve got them all, list them all in an email to "contest@gog.com" with the subject line being "GOG.com 2012 Scavenger Screenshot Hunt". From every valid application we will pick 10 winners who got all the games right and gift them two games from the entire catalog. The contest ends on Tuesday December 25th 2012 11:59 GMT.

Or, I suppose, on the 21st of December when the world erupts in fire and doom. But if we're still around after that, then we'll end the contest officially on the 24th. ;)
Gratz to those that have won. I may not have won this contest but I got Duke3D this year so ill take that as a win :D thnx GOG.

LeoLR: I think Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is another entry on your list of obscure wintry shots. Screenshot 10 shows a bag of christmas tree lights on the right corner.
SWEEEEET! Nice find, LeoLR! If memory serves, I think the last time someone mentioned that one was either the 1st or 2nd GOG.com Scavenger Hunt, when there were hundreds fewer games in the catalogue. But it's been years since then, and I had completely forgotten about it. I think that's definitely one of the top-3 most difficult ones to spot so far, and it might even be the hardest. Though I'm not sure - that snowman in Cannon Fodder sure is TINY. In any case, you've got an eagle eye (or a very large cat eye, judging from your avatar) - SHOT ADDED!

LeoLR: ...And congrats on winning the GOG contest.
I still can't believe I was one of the winners - I really never thought I'd win one of these. It's been fun enough just compiling the list of shots!

Also, unless there are any objections, I will soon be including a written discovery credit for every shot on the list. If you'd like to remain anonymous, just PM me. I'll be sure to add the credits just as soon as I can ensure I have it all correct.

As always, if anyone can think of any more wintry shots I missed, feel free to mention it here or PM me and I'll be sure to update the list accordingly. Thanks to everyone who's already contributed! Your efforts could save all of us GOGers a lot of time and confusion if this remains an annual thing.
Congrats to all the winners.
A happy new year to all.
Congrats to the winners, was wondering if it had be announced yet.

Thanks for a very good year as well GOG. No contest wins but was able to add quite a few games I played when I was younger and many I missed at the time they were released.
