So pops wagoneering is suspicous...

Pop's already on my radar by virtue of being aussie.

Is there anything virtuous about this guy?

Popinjay: We must stop this from become a case of full blow appliancide.

Previous players of this game are able to lie more effectively, thus vote nmiller
You did kind of start this bandwagon really quickly, nmillar didn't even get a chance to show off the lying the skills you talk about that he may have learned from a previous game.

Your action is a bit suspicious, but I bet it's just to get people talking on the first day so everyone can start throwing ideas out.

Red_Baron: Must agree with nmillar there.. already creating a bandwagon so early - how devious.

(So eyeball was the 10min in between confirmed?)
Yep, tested it.
If you wait 10 minutes you can post again without fear of edit. But still I would rather wait few more minutes just to avoid unwanted problems.

Yeah, I'd suggest that too. 11 or 12 just to be sure...
So Popinjay's pushing a wagon Vitek started while claiming that the experienced players have an easier time lying. Yeah, that's kinda suspicious there. Hmmmmmmmm.

But I think that someone in the Mafia probably hasn't even posted yet....so Vote Elbaz
Well, as Enterprise mentioned I am as I guess everyone here is, pretty sure that the voting on nmillar is just to start the race. But still - why this urge to lynch poor nmilar :P Although the argument that he is a more experienced player could be valid (But only with some intern knowledge eh?).

Oh well, on the first day anything is speculations on speculations. How it makes my circuits sizzle :D

eyeball226: Yeah, I'd suggest that too. 11 or 12 just to be sure...
Okay then -thanks for the advice.
Well....yeah, but with an hour between them and 12 of us to randomly vote for, a second vote on nmillar does carry some suspicions with it, but yeah this early in the first day it's hard to get a bead, but it's good to make note of it for future reference.

Indeed, always useful to get a feel for the others and notice inconsistency throughout the game.

Twilight, if you find Popinjay suspicious, wouldn't he be a better target for a semi-random vote? To keep up the trend of choosing those on the list directly after your own name...
Vote Popinjay

To be honest I didn't even notice my name, I was simply looking for a name that hadn't posted yet either here or in any of the other games. And by reaction fishing, I got something interesting.

But, as for why I didn't vote, I want to hear more, it's still very early and any theories are an extreme case of WIFOM, and I'm just trying to see all of the angles.

Unvote
avatar
nmillar: Damn, I somehow manage to get the first vote in yet another game. Was that truly random or do you have some kind of hidden agenda against me?
avatar
Vitek: No, no, it's based on the fact that there is big chance, based on probability, that you are mafia. :-)
Care to explain the math behind that probability?
Unless you know more than I do, I can only see about 9%

Rodzaju: Care to explain the math behind that probability?

Perhaps he is using meta game with the fact that nmillar have yet to be mafia (Not 100% sure on that, since I can't recall if that was the case in mafia1).

How it would increase any chances I however fail to see :D But one can always try to see what happens when some strange theory is thrown on the floor. Could tell something about whom connects to it.
not much to go on so far, except I see elbaz try to push Twilight to vote for popinjay and then go on to vote for them himself... hmmmm

so on that point Vote elbaz

This was my thought.
I couldn't remember if Nmillar had been in 2 or 3 of the previous games, but I don't believe he has shown mafia yet.
By some versions of random theory, this could push the percentage up (anything from 9.1% to 36.4%, depending on how bad you are at math!).

Has anyone else been in as many games as Nmillar?
Vitek: what are your previous game stats?

Well, if the roles are randomly allocated then not having been mafia before doesn't make you more likely to be mafia this time. That's like thinking you're more likely to win the lottery the longer you play the same numbers.
