iippo: havent pirated single bit since moving out from home and earning my own money.
I just understand very well why people do it. Anyways, had i NOT done it, i would have gotten myself a real hobby instead of gaming and not spend almost 400 games worth of money on steam, dozens and dozens on GoG and all the boxed games before those.
Call me fool if you want, but even pirate gamers are gamers and many eventually start earning their own money and find pain free digital shops like steam, gog and so on.
Licurg: I never paid for a game before joining GOG :P I still pirate games that I can't buy DRM-free, but if a game I want is on GOG, I just wait :)
If i cant find what i want from GoG or Steam - i just wait. Sure ill miss games like that - but these days there are too many games anyways. Ive stopped long ago wanting to play each and everyone of them.
When finishing games becomes to feel like chore, you know youre doing something wrong.
Actually i have already enough games for the rest of my life (not talking about console/pc games here, but table top, pnp and so on) - i suppose getting more than i can really play is just become a kind of hobby, though ive managed to restrict myself these days much better than years ago. ...i can even skip bundles unless there something i really-really want no matter how cheap they are ;)
