Just finished on the PC:
Torchlight

So far this year, finished these PC games:
Torchlight; Divinity 2: Ego Draconis; Batman: Arkham Asylum; Assassin's Creed II; Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening; The Saboteur; Resident Evil 5; Alpha Protocol; Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood; Mass Effect 2; Dragon Age: Origins; Borderlands: Zombie Island of Dr. Ned; Grand Theft Auto 4; Bioshock 2.
Frontlines: Fuel Of War

I tried the demo of this on the 360 some months back and wasn't too impressed, it had a very generic and dull feel to it. Picked it up yesterday on steam since it was a bit under 3 bucks and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. In spite of the annoyingly innacurate assault rifle (first round has to be 100% on target, you can't account for recoil that hasn't happened yet!) and some almost unplayably bad helicopter controls that I suspect were made for a gamepad then never tested with the mouse & keyboard (fortunately you can ignore the chopper and fight on foot), the game was pretty damned good. Decent energy crisis themed story, good tank/jeep controls, some good weapons and the addition of the rather well done drones make the gameplay a bit fresh.

DEFINIETLY worth what I paid for it. Weirdest thing though, there wasn't a single woman in the ENTIRE game. Seriously, not one radio voice, chopper pilot, soldier, propaganda announcer, nothing.
.

Oh and there's jet controls, an entire panel in the config for them. Never saw a jet once

Wolfox: Yes indeed. It's a very, very good game. I hope it shows up on GOG some day.
I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of time.

It's a surprisingly good game once you've got it patched up to the eyeballs (something like 3GB of patches). I like all the killer toys you get to play with but yeah, the assault rifle blows.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II

My word, this game is not worth the price of admission. It's just a repetitive, unimaginative hack 'n slash that completely misses on the worthwhile themes and story of the first one.

The first one could get pretty repetitive as well, but the sheer variety of enemies and locations still made it interesting. All that's gone here; it's kill stormtroopers a million different times and here's a few robots and Sith every once in a while. Even the end fight is so boring and, again, repetitive that it seems that way just to pad out the length of the game (which feel short as hell as it is).

The story is stupid. Or, at least the way it's presented is stupid. The "are you a clone or not, and what does it mean both for your character and the Star Wars universe as a whole" idea is barely sliced into, or outright dropped all together, and those are by and far the most interesting parts of this game.

I will admit though, there are some things about this game that are absolutely gorgeous. The rain coming down the windows of Kamino like a transparent waterfall, the hanging city of Neomodeia, the starships in space over Kamino. The characters look great too, but so what?

It ends on a typical "proper ending reserved for the sequel" stick, so we can expect the next game in the next couple years.
