Enter for a chance to receive a bundle of 66 indie games!

With today's addition of FEZ the number of indie games in GOG.com catalog amounts to 66. It's a nice sounding number (about 2/3rds of 100!), so we thought celebration is in order. What better way is there to celebrate games, than by giving away free games? (Here's a hint: there is no better way.) So, for the next 6 days everyone gets the chance to enter our sweepstakes--and the prizes are truly sweet. One lucky person will receive an enormous bundle of all the 66 indie games from our catalog. Eleven more people will be awarded 6 indie games of their choice each. Here's how you enter:

Do you see the entry form below? All you need to do is provide us with your valid email address. That's it, you're in! You get exactly one entry in the sweepstakes. Optionally, you can make your chances better by doing two things for us: you can tweet about our sweepstakes for an extra entry (there's a Twitter field already filled out for you--if you don't want to tweet, make sure it's blank before submitting your entry), and notify your Facebook friends (a pop-up will pop-up upon completing the form). You'll be awarded an extra entry for every friend that enters from your referral. All this social-sharing is purely optional, of course.

Note: the sweepstakes entry is now closed. Winners will be contacted soon.

Foxhack: ... looks like this got fixed. I can see the dumb box now. Apparently I have two entries, heh.

Edit: And now the Facebook post I made didn't count. This app thingy sucks.
because everyone has the same link?
It just works if you enter through the fb post which has an additional r parameter like http://j.mp/66indiesGOG?r=ufp__6Z9fc2v1N :D

mrkgnao: So I entered through your link. Did you get an extra entry for it?
After it all it says: "Get 1 bonus entry every time anyone enters from http://j.mp/66indiesGOG".
you need the url with the ?r=... parameter ;-)

I thought making the post through their stupid app would count - you know, like ALMOST EVERY OTHER FACEBOOK CONTEST.

Something tells me this is going to be the only time GOG uses this crap service.

your friends have to enter through your custom url and enter the same form here on gog.com ;-) so they get 1 entry and you 1 more for their entry

Luckily, I don't have friends
Great initiative! Thank you! :)

Just some thoughts:

I wish you provided more information regarding our privacy, considering the submission page sends requests to Google, Facebook, Amazon and woobox, which is pretty bad when asking for e-mail an address and having a submit-button that leads, well, somewhere. I've never heard of woobox and so have no clue whether my e-mail address is shared with any third parties, nor in what way it would be used. When I'm on your site I trust you with it, not other companies, some of which I've never intentionally payed a visit.

Also, the way-too-common practice of encouraging the use of social networks in some sort of referral game is way below your usual exemplary respect for your customers in my opinion. These kind of things are like trading away your privacy and integrity for more lottery tickets as I see it. Your better than that! So I'll settle with my 1 chance.

Anyway, would be nice if you'd provide information about privacy and such when you use third party services in this way.

Thanks!

Edit:
PS. To illustrate the point:
According to woobox, if you have submitted your e-mail in the box here on GOG, you have basically agreed to this:
http://woobox.com/terms
http://woobox.com/privacy
http://woobox.com/sponsorterms
..Well, technically, if you viewed the sweepstakes page.. :D

I don't have any referral, or whatever is supposed to make my friend's entries count for me ·_·

Bloodygoodgames: Wondered about that? It was supposed to be quite a few people winning games from the last YouTube contest from what I remember. Entered, but never heard anything more about it? Odd.
Well. I know it got announced when I read around the forum and some people randomly asked about who is the winner, and someone from GOG team answer it.

I know it is not a big deal. It just me feel weird when the contest was announced as a news, and the winner wasn't. But I guess it is fine this way... for a surprise element for the winner.

Hmm. That is right. The terms of service. I forgot these kind of things exist. I started to be more careful these days related to terms and agreement. It was since I discovered a free-to-use software secretly collecting my phone number after I read their terms of service...

Anyway, I also settle with my 1 chance. I have twitter and facebook, but it just I don't want to authorize the apps.
Thanks to GOG for this contest!

I think indies have a great home on this site, and I'm glad this is working out for GOG.
