You may want to start bowing to Momo when you see her, I think she's maxed the game out several times over.
THE GLADIATORS CLASH

HESUSIO BRANDISHES STARTOPIA+PAPERS, PLEASE

SPINORIAL PARRIES WITH NEXUS:THE JUPITER INCIDENT AND FREESPACE 2

THEY ARE EVENLY MATCHED, THOUGH THIS IS BECAUSE SPINORIAL IS FIGHTING HANDICAPPED!

THE CROWD BOOS:

"WHERE IS THE SHOW YOU PRICKS"
"I BET YOU DON'T HAVE THE GUTS TO HAVE A REAL FIGHT"
"YOU COST ME MY HOUSE"

but the warriors do not listen for they are beginning to eat cookies while the judge reluctantly hands Hesusio a copy of Shelter and Spinorial one of SIr, You Are Being Hunted

Stooner is the one observer with a smile on his face

SMUG MOTHERFUCKER JUST WON 20 DOLLARS OF GAMES, BITCHES

PMs and games being sent now! THANKS FOR NOTHING YOU JERKS

I'm pretty sure you can't max it out. There's no limit on how many cookie generators you can have.

Well, this is most excellent. Thank you very much, good sir, for the fun and profit.

Is a joke. Also, you might want to stand back, I need to flip this desk over and release the lions after our graceful host. Along with a scientifically mutated and ill-tempered guinea pig with fricken' lasers attached to its head.
HA! Nuclear deterrence abused by both players :P I suspected you might have this manoeuvre in mind, Hesusio. Congratulations!

Also, what were the bets?

All of them on games that nobody got, with games being removed, or 20+ monies being used.

Stooner was the ONLY ONE with "no removal", a bet below 20 USD, AND a game that someone picked. If it pleases the crowd, I can make public all of the bets. But they're pretty disappointing -- I sort of stared blankly at them when the final choices went through and thought "oh, shit. these would have made for a much better "FINAL SHOWDOWN" post than what actually happened."

You may blame the Gladiators to that effect.

Surely you can appreciate the fine play of nuclear brinkmanship that went down. In the end, there was just too much risk in calling the other player's bluff, especially given two people who don't really know each others's tastes and wishlists and anything, pretty much.

Also, you could just post the bets without names, so that the embarrassed audience doesn't lynch you ;)

Aye, nothing like mutually assured destruction to keep your opponent honest. Also endless potential for dickery, but thankfully such shenanigans were avoided.

Didn't Joe bet that I'd get Startopia and Papers, Please?

I also bet on Spin for Freespace 2.
Yeah, people probably all guessed Alpha Centauri & Freespace 2. I guess I threw a curveball with Nexus, but overall, I don't really think we should have answered those questions about what we're likely to choose.

Also, it might have worked better with the betting AFTER the public agreement.

I think the issue came where we were told bets HAD to be placed within 8 hours of questions.

No, everyone (mostly) got the games right (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, PERSON WHO MESSED IT UP)

But they got the price far too high and everyone said games would be lost.

Stooner was closest to reality, when taken as a whole, that's why he won.

And I set it before the public agreement so the observers had more reason to yell at you to choose what THEY wanted you to choose. Didn't work out, though.
