I'm pretty excited for this. I didn't have the game but wanted it. I'm pumped.
I know a lot of people already have this game, but if they gave away a game that few people had it would probably mean that the game isn't very good lol. I think this is great.

Imago: I'm not disappointed at all, just think that something is wrong with this policy. The loyal fans are the community and the games on the wishlist which the GOG-guys are so proud of are their wishes, so why Fallout?

Even if I'm new to the community, I've registered here during the beta testing and got a bunch of games already. I've also played through the localized version of Fallout (both of them actually) long ago and it was the first game I bought here (together with Fallout 2), so speak for yourself ;)
If GOG could sell games, which are here on top of the wishlist, they would do it immediately. But they can't because of complicated rights (although they are still trying, I hope)… So I don't really know what you would like to get. As a loyal GOG fan, you should have bought most of their games anyway. :-)

predcon: Anyone who's ever posted "I feel sorry", ever, doesn't. Not even in the slightest. What you "feel", if anything, is most likely mild bemusement.

gameon: Trust me, if you knew me (some members do already) i genuinely am a nice guy, and DO feel sorry for you. I'm running a competition to win some games right now. Try here: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/win_a_promo_game

I SERIOUSLY CARE about you guys and girls. I know it sounds cliche, but i am really trying to be part of this community, and all i ask for is acceptance. Thanks to all, and good karma. thats what the forums are all about. Thanks.

I never said "they had to", but "it would be better", no more. Would not you be happy to know that they actually fulfilled these complicated procedures to obtain the rights for something from the top of the wishlist and presented it during the conference?
I'd argue that the original Fallout, and perhaps even fallout 2 are now very much in the 'too old to play' catagory, and i grew up with said titles.

It's a nice gesture, and very understaited, but i would defiently would have preffred discounts to post 2000 games.

That's just crazy talk!
I often use the PC's at a nearby public library for Internet access (I´m broke due to unemployment, so no luxuries like Internet at home), and it was closed Thursday to Sunday for Easter holidays. Excepcionally I was able to check the forum at a friend's house on Thursday afternoon (Spain local time) and no news yet.

Free gifts from GOG team on weekends and holidays = no chances for me. :-(

Congrats to the lucky ones, anyways ;-D

Wrong.. tbh Fallout 1 and 2 have aged extremely well really well to be precise. this is coming from someone who played them sometime in 2005 and again multiple times since.

And I did not grow up with said titles, and disagree with you completely. There's still nothing like the Fallout games, and thus they're still very much worth playing. Even if they aren't exactly the most accessible RPGs out there.
Fallout and Fallout 2 were actually from the years when I was absent from PC gaming entirely, so until now I have not played them. So thanks a lot to GOG.com for giving me free Fallout. One of these days I will give Fallout a try... one of these days...
