I've made it no secret (although I also haven't harped on it) that I've been out of work for most of my 2 years here, and that playing these games was my personal "escape" time when not looking for work & caring for my newborn triplets (they're gonna be 2 years old in December).
And while I wouldn't say I've made any genuine "friends" here (aside from my job situation & triplets, I haven't shared a whole lot more on my personal life), I have made a good number of acquaintances who I've either admired, respected, or both.
I've gifted games, I've received games. I've enjoyed sharing "gaming talk" and other stuff too, like when I was searching for an mp3 player that fit my exact needs. Alot of people have been really great during my time here, whether it was interacting directly with me or just being cool to each other.
I've finally gotten back to work recently (2 part time jobs) and I've started going back to college (starting my 5th week now), and I just haven't got as much time to spend on GOG. That, and I've gotten most games that I either had or wanted from my younger days, so alot of the new releases just aren't interesting to me. But I am staying on the GOG mailing list, just in case some of those gems that I used to love but haven't been GOG-ified yet do end up here.
And on that note, I say thank you to everyone here...GOG users & GOG staff...for a tremendous past 2 years. I love the community (despite the occasional arguments) and I love the business model. I'll probably show up every now & then, even if just to read some threads & not actually post, but I just wanted to make sure I said "thank you" before fading off into the sunset.
