Come on its 2014 and you can't buy it with paypal

It would take too much tie to transfer the money to my card

ZFR: So did anyone buy this. I have few questions if you did:

2) Are all the extras available? For example, Rise of the Triad had a shareware episode that did not appear in the full game, as well as other levels, editors... etc that were available before even if you didn't buy the game (see link). Are these still available for all games?

There's the old FTP archives that may have some of what you're looking for.

I pretty much have all that I want from the anthology. I was hoping for Spear of Destiny, and it isn't listed. Is it not theirs then? I don't recall.

FormGen, which means it's probably sitting firmly in the fist of Bethesda and the Trumps. =/

Apogee/3D Realms had nothing to do with Spear of Destiny. The game is included in the Steam version of Wolfenstein 3D, which means that it's owned by id/Zenimax.

While this is true for the case of Spear of Destiny, it isn't necessarily true in general. Formgen, for example, did publish the 6th episode of Commander Keen, but the episode is nowhere to be found on Steam.

Grrrr... I started playing Duke Nukem 2 and I felt there was something different about it from the game I remember. Then I realized it. He's wearing sunglasses!

The game I played back in school had Duke without them. Compare screenshots:

The game as I remember it:

The new game I just bought with the Anthology:
https://3drealms.com/catalog/duke-nukem-2_19/

Why why why would they do that? Does anyone know whether it was just added to the Anthology, or if this change was done some time ago already?

While I appreaciate the fact that the glasses have become somewhat of a Duke trademark, the reason I bought these game as mentioned earlier, was because I play them a lot as a kid. I DON'T want any revamped games.

And it makes me wonder if there are any other "improvements" they made to other games...

EDIT:
Grrrr they even made the change to the intro and all cutscenes :(

This was done back when the game was ported to mobile phones, and then the game was released on Steam, I guess as a port of the mobile version (I assume it's now a Windows program instead of running through DOSBox). They added Duke's portrait to the HUD because the info in the box was irrelevant for the phone version. I assume they added glasses as Duke's trademark, as you say. I guess they went with this version for the anthology for convenience and assumed that people would want the 'updated' version.
They have stated they will be adding a version without sunglasses as well, so people can choose.
Thanks. I hope they add the sunglassless version.
Dang I wish I'd read about this sooner. It's now gone back up to $40, while I'm happy to support them and buy it, to not worth that to me. I guess I'll wait till its back at half price; if ever.
Do they have some upcoming titles as well?

Classics are nice and all but surely this "re-launch" isn't only about selling old classics?

For $20 I probably would have bought it, but for $40 it's just too expensive. I already own 20 of the games in the package excluding games that are free and $40 is just too close to the normal price for the games I don't already have. Not to mention that several of the games are already free.
I'd say dont buy at any price. You'd just be giving money to that Frederik asshat who now owns 3dr to make more shitty games like bombshell.
Discovered Pharaoh's Tomb. Used to play it a lot on a friend's computer when I was younger and then promptly forgot what the hell it was called. Loved that game but it was so brutal.
I bought it today for 20 dollars. I think there is a bug in the checkout section.
