Nilex: I need see my rep go above 20 after I wake up next morning. Want to post links with game guide I created, help the community and shitz. Can't with this dogshit measure in place...

Thanks homies
I would say that be more vocal and be more active while making the guide for the community mang

I did just fine going on the general threads
So it raises by post count? Though its by + hits, jeez.

Fuk this attention whoring system... I'll post on steam instead.

Thanks anyway

UPDATE... nvm, I woke up the CEO of this joint... links work fine now.

Currently, you can gain rep posting daily, helping people solve problems (they need to mark your post), and when one of your posts receives many likes.

You just need some patience, 20 rep is easy to reach.

Go ahead, we will be waiting here when you decide to come back. Steam has an infinitely more toxic community.

It's not like that.

If the system likes you, it will let you post links.

Even if you're negative like me, I'm special.

But the system must like you.

The issue with this system is that it creates sort of a catch 22. Like, I'm looking at a thread right now where someone is asking for help, and I know about a mod that can help, but I can't link to it. If I were able to post it, I'd probably get the 20 rep right there from people who are grateful for the help. Because I haven't been helpful to enough people yet, I'm forbidden from helping anyone.

Forcing all users to submit to that "I'm not a robot" captcha when registering would cut out almost all spambots, and reporting posts would be enough to mop up the rest.

5 for solving a question.

Post the URL in your answer, but don't link to it. Or learn the trick where you can post links regardless of rep. If you want to help, just do so. The system doesn't forbid you, it just inconveniences you. It would be better if it didn't, but you can still answer questions. No Catch-22 at all.

I created a userscript, but could not make a good post with all the links. The forum didn't tell me anything about what is wrong when I pressed "Post my message" button, so I had to open browser's network tools to catch the error and finally found this topic.

Any reputation filters looks like rudiment for me. So sad to have it here.
