All this talk of what games Gog should bring seem so pointless to me. Is there any reason for us to believe that MS will abandon their love of DRM?

I think they "are working to enable more choice in which store you can find Xbox Game Studios titles in the future" , as long as it doesn't give the customer any actual ownership of their product.

Vythonaut: I think GOG already gave us a hint with Galaxy 2.0... ;)
Now that explains why the advertising for Galaxy 2.0 included the game Halo.
I guess it's almost confirmed, then.

pkk234: Halo? on GOG? Sounds like money.

Lucian_Galca: I want Age of Empires here myself.
The original would be good, I've read that the Definitive Edition remake is a bit of a mess, AI is retarded etc, not sure if it's been fixed though. You can switch to the original graphics though.
GOG having a stable working relationship with Microsoft would do wonders for bringing some classic games back.
That'd be cool. :) But Microsoft loves DRM and GOG is dead. :(

but seriously hopefully something happens. Maybe Blizzard working with GOG could encourage M$ to work with GOG for their old games at least.
interesting I wonder if some of them will find there way here too. Going to keep an eye on this. 0-0
Microsoft love DRM, their current 'oh we want everyone to play on whatever store front they want' gimmick is also just PR spin. They want as many sales possible and know the Windows Store has held back games that were strong enough as it is. They were happy to wall off games in their store, but they like money. It's nothing to do with 'letting the people chose'

Still a good move, however.

Forza Horizon 3 & 4 for me.

Pond86: It would also be good if we got some of Microsoft's older titles here. Such as Midtown Madness and Outwars.

Newer games are also good to have here. Though if we get AoE Def I just hope they allow us to get the original version as well.
Midtown Madness 2 retail is notoriously hard to get.

Not only Halo, but Forza and Gears of War as well. All the other games depicted are already on GOG, as far as i'm concerned. If that isn't a hint of Microsoft coming to GOG, i don't know what it is. In any case, try not to be dissapointed if it proves to be a coincidence or GOG's wishful thinking.

Then how did we ever get Ori or Cuphead here? You can say different publisher but MS got Cuphead on the Switch. You think if MS didn't want these games on GOG they'd be here.

Not sure why you're talking about the Switch in all honesty. Not really relevant to what i said.

also Ori = THQ Nordic
Cuphead = StudioMDHR

There's a whole host of games on here that have since been bought out/partnered with other publishers/companies and are still here, mostly down to agreements and deals made beforehand.

zlaywal: Dust: An Elysian Tail is a peculiar case. It only list Humble Hearts LLC on the company info here, but Xbox Game Studios listed as publisher on Steam.
Back when it was released on XBox Live Arcade, Microsoft required that all indies had Microsoft as the publisher. Or something like that. And since then, it's had their logo animation on launch regardless of the platform. Seeing the Microsoft Game Studios logo when launching a Linux-native game was fun the first few times.

In the world of the MS "empire", the Linux/Mac "rebellion" is seen by many as the "true evil". o.0
