WinterSnowfall: Agents watching the GOGBear border have spotted an entry titled: "Sirius"... it appears to be an in-development title (or a recently developed title), but online searches are inconclusive. The only Steam title named Sirius appears to be a multiplayer only game from 2015, not exactly a good fit...

If anyone can come up with a theory on what I'm looking at, I'd appreciate it :P.

If it's something news worthy, I'll even ask that person to post their findings here.

I had a feeling it was an internal codename for something, don't ask me why :P... anyway, they lost me at "multiplayer", but I guess only time will tell if anything will come out of it.

If it's the "SW: Jedi Academy" of the Witcher universe, it may be interesting...

I was just wondering the other day if Sirius could be one of the big games that came out recently. Apparently you now have a leaker career ahead of you!

I just have a bucket, the leaks come from the GOGShip :P.
Any traces of the crowdfunded The Witcher: Ronin manga, by the way?

Apparently backers have been able to redeem a code for the digital version through GoG since March/April this year, but since it hasn't been put up for sale to non-backers thus far it's likely going to stay a locked-away and well-hidden backer-exclusive affair for some time longer.

The API entry for it exists, but the question is if/when it will ever be made available for sale here.
Alright, so... Monke 3: Monke Eats Banana. What exactly am I looking at here? Does anyone know?

There's also a Steam Wrapper Demo Game. Sounds... interesting.

And an entry for Secrets of Grindea. Not sure if that was announced or not?

Monke 1 and 2 when GOG. But seriously, just some Galaxy/GamesDB test I think.

This wasn't officially announced yet, but it's probably waiting till they're done with early access.

I hope it comes with achievements :P. Last thing I'd want is for Monke to eat the banana and get no achievement.

That's an achievement in itself .... at least for Monke. :)
Hello again.

I've been looking through the GOG API Documentation trying to find some way to check on ownership of a single game or DLC, and having no luck.

I know I can get an ID list of all owned games, but in my wishlist are DLCs that also have an ID, and we know that sometimes a game has two different IDs, so I would like to be able to query that DLC or game via their ID, to see if I own it.

The reason being, I want to be able to purge my local copy of the Wishlist of such DLC or games that I have bought or were included in a purchase of a special edition, season pass etc, using a script.

Is it possible to do this?

I suspect there isn't, but just double checking more knowledgeable minds than mine regarding the API possibilities.

I know things are less than perfect when it comes to our Wishlist, and even browsing the store, where ownership isn't always shown correctly.

Even if I can just get the ID of the game a DLC belongs to, would be helpful for me to code a work-around.

You can use:
https://api.gog.com/v2/games/1128594953 (replace "1128594953" with the DLC ID you're interested in)
which includes a list field called "requiresGames" that links to the parent game(s).

I'm not sure whether there are any DLCs that require more than one parent game, but the API seems to support it.

P.S. Remember, this is GOG, so don't expect it to be consistent for all DLCs.

Excellent, I'll check out a few other IDs.

BIG THANKS

GOG certainly don't like to make it easy sometimes.
Pruning becomes problematic when you own something like a Director's Cut, but as you know, sometimes GOG doesn't show you as owning the standard edition, until you get all the way into viewing the Cart. I've got quite a few instances like that on my Wishlist.

And sometimes it is the other way around, as in the following, taken from the Cart.
Please note that Aquanox Deep Descent Collector’s Edition is already included in GOG Collection Exploration 2-pack which you own.
It was not listed as owned for me until that point, though the standard version was and the DLCs too. And even worse, neither version of the game was listed as having been bought in my Orders, just that pack. Standard version shows for me in my library, and all the extras for the Collector's Edition, but no mention of the words 'Collector's Edition'.

Receiver 2 appears restless of late - there may be signs of an imminent release.
I've recently started looking at GOG's reviews and rating endpoints (e.g.: https://reviews.gog.com/v1/products/1/reviews), and had some interesting "huh" moments.

Let's take a brief look at the top rated titles (4.9 score) with more than 50 ratings (see attached).

Quest for Glory 1-5? OpenTTD? I wouldn't have expected people to hold these in such high regard.

As a comparison, Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete has a 4.8 rating with about 9787 votes.

When it comes to the total number or rating, things get even stranger (IMHO) (see the second attachment).

The first two Fallout games? Beneath a Steel Sky? I'd expect the games on this list to be what drew the most amount of (at least vocal, review-leaving) people to GOG.

I'd have perhaps expected Horizon Zero Dawn to be here, or Control. But then again perhaps they were released with too much delay on GOG and lost the review wave.

I'll be adding the code I wrote to pull in all this data to gog_gles, once I had a chance to remove the final kinks and bugs, so feel free to explore and draw your own conclusions.
