Spamming is a crime - but you, I assume, reasonably rather vent about it here because it is never punished?

Take heart.

UEFA / FIFA could be corrupt all around, and I spool Olympic Committee for the next "untergang."

Now they cannot be so easily even as they try- but it took Qatar for that.

Unless you would do something about it - just await. It will blow. Eventually. Nice if u did anything now, obviously.

I'm afraid I am one of those persons who do not share your optimism.

You don't have to fool all the people all the time. Just the right people until no consequences can come from it.
GOG removed the offending script. Can log back in without any third-party connections again (once you block Google, which you should ;) ).

To be honest, I am very pleasantly surprised at how fast this was changed.

Thank you, GOG team.

It actually bothers me slightly that you imply - or not? - the right persons are the casual ones.

I did object to Qatar getting the footie WC, but corruption up until now was always assumed about FIFA.

It is all those human beings dying working away in Qatar with no serious action to secure their life and rights that probably forces me to boycott FIFA footie.

I do love the footie WC, besides FIFA owning it.

And I do not think EUFA is particularly admirable - only that workers are not systemically driven to death to make Euro happen.

What I wanted to say is that some people or organization manage to hide their corruption in an effective way. To think that the truth always surfaces is no more than wishful thinking. The world is not fair or pretty.

I'm not saying "give up" or "just go along with it". I'm saying that people should perceive the world for what it really is. Take this thread as an example. If this is the reaction someone gets for speaking their minds about using a foreign service in a website, imagine what it would be if large amounts of money were flowing in.

Great to hear that the issue has been resolved! It is indeed nice to hear that something was actually done about this.
Keeps the faith alive.

Indeed.

For a while there I feared GOG became infected with the dread corporatis profitus maximum, but it ended up proving to have been an undeserved mis-diagnosis.

Can happily blow my expendable income on the ongoing sale now, too.

"Jubilations!"
I can also log in now without using my vanilla IE browser, thanks GOG

Edit: Can't get into my account even though I can log in and make post so back to vanilla IE and once a month visits to the site. =(

WBGhiro: I don't understand how people can be this paranoid but still not use tor.
The first rule of Tor club is you don't tell people about your use of Tor club.

Well, it will not change until "anti-spam" and "anti-phishing" civil activity reaches heights of TTIP citizens' protests!

Data mining is nasty, but it is yet an enabler for worse nastiness - spam or phishing. Data mining with a nasty and un-truthful commercial purpose.

Yet there has frankly been little public protest against commercial intrusion into privacy, when from my perspective we should be furious: EU-US would have a secrete court system to compensate multi-nationals against citizen friendly rulings that might hurt unscrupulous corporations.

Take your cue: tobacco companies suing Australia. They yet cannot do it with Europe, but if they could - they would.

In all of this, I have not seen ANYTHING that would convince me that I as a citizen that does not wish to be defrauded or spammed could have equitable recourse to bring forth punishment to international spammers. In fact, post TTIP, US or EU spammers could sue for any anti-spam legislation...

I am not anti TTIP per se - only, I think the consumer protection should take lead from the European Court. The commercial and consumer rights are, IMO, one of the best achievements of EU.

Lord_Kane: it is well known that GOG is a front for the illuminati.

Source: Me I am a high ranking satanic priest in the illuminati, I even had sex with an alien once.
I had sex with a ghost. Multiple times. She still visits me occasionally. Does that make me a shaman for the illuminati? They have to have equal representation, right?
