xa_chan: Believing a a teaser/trailer will actually look like the final game is like believeing what politician promise you during an electoral campaign...

Starkrun: Ok so i never thought of it like that... Thank you... if this was a Question post you would get the Answer check.. instead all i can do is click +
Hahaha, don't worry. I can clearly remember the days I was literally drooling watching games' trailers... only to see that between the trailer and the actual game, there's a huuuuuge difference.

So now, I judge a game when it's actually running on my PC/console and consider trailers more like "yeah, you see we'd like to do something like that with the final version but we don't know yet if we can!" ;)

That exact situation happened with RAGE... it was breathtaking, then it was released with the texture pop in XD
Fucking graphics whores . They are crying on every forums because they will not able to play with their .... while watching the sex scenes of TW3 in 4k .

Starkrun: Reducegate sounds funny... but also I don't care all that much just never looked into it until now... I've been staying away from any media concerning Witcher 3. Still have yet to see any more then 2 trailers beyond the ones in that post i linked.

I will love it no matter what... just wondering why the secrecy and no clear response other than "its coming in a few days be happy" but yeah now that i search the forums... it seems to be pretty apparent i am no where near the first. ^_^
For what it's worth, I think you can do a lot with the xml file to push the game further, including adding the sharpening filter that they used in some earlier screenshots.

I think the real reason they didn't go with the full graphics is because they are still a fairly small developer, to get that running and well optimized might have taken another whole year of work and a lot more money.

... and the previously presented landscapes still looked breathtaking, as that's what the engine was optimized for. And it had texture popin.

I know. It got so bad that the CEO himself made an official announcement about this.
I thought cdpr forums were bad with all these topics, but now it's flooding to gog as well.
Is this just fantasy?

Tallima: Get over it, people. CDRP did nothing wrong. They made a game that works on 3 platforms that will look far better and have tons more graphical options on PC than XBONE or PS4.

It would have looked better if made for PC alone, but it wouldn't have been the same game either. Nor would it have even been made b/c they need to actually sell the game to recoup losses from making the game.

Games are made with resources. Resources are scarce. I'm sure they did the best they could to make the best game they could (reviews indicate that it's a heck of a game).

If you can't understand those concepts, then I'd recommend that you stop reading the gaming news. It's making a lot of people get upset over nothing and making even more people look foolish.

What you have is a (according to reviewers) great game with great graphics. Enjoy the moment.
This.

So many people bitch about "filthy console peasants r ruinin' mah PC games" but it's unlikely that a project of the scale as Witcher 3 would have been possible without distributing it on all currently available "next-gen" platforms. Like it or not, CDPR need all those sales. I wouldn't be surprised if total console sales are on par or greater than sales of PC versions ( future heavy DD discounts not included ). Besides, they're not just optimizing it for the weak(?) consoles, but also for average gaming PCs. Performance wise, the current average gaming PC is actually not far from the XBone or PS4. Most people can't afford to spend a few hundred bucks on a GTX 980 ( or simply don't feel the need to do so; priorities and all ) much less some silly SLI Titan X set-up. So it makes sense that, for a major game project, the developers focus first and foremost on the majority of their potential customers, before they start worrying about extreme hardware set-ups, and features which will only be relevant to a small fraction of their audience.

Dragon age was good looking but it was pretty "who cares" game and story for me. UI? Oh jesus it is horrible with a mouse and kb.
I hope geralt makes it all better.

Still, I don't see much difference with ps4 version and PC and the requirements if they basically are gtx 970 to 60 fps without some weird hairworks.. That's a lot of requirements.

I'll see next week that. I just have asus gtx 760 so it will run in some settings and I love witcher games especially the first so I'm not mad.

And to answer to your "is this real life?" question.. Real life is horrible, I've seen it, it just is horrible. Nobody should actually live real life.
