It's not very old, it's a recent picture. Go to the games section, click on the company drop-down menu, go to page 50 and you'll see the same exact listing of companies. Microsoft is still listed.

Aditya: They even mentioned GOG.com which is kinda cool.
Death to DRM
Not sure if you're just plainly stupid or ignorant, as Windows 10 has its own DRM system. Means your two sentences were so ironic.

Point being, the list has been like that for years and it has not amounted to anything. Remember, that list includes things like original devs and publishers, even if they are not the current rights holder and have no association with GOG at all, so it should not be taken as proof or even a hint of anything more.

They even gave pirates free Windows 10 copies. Whether it's legit or not, the copies are all activated. I even checked it myself and surprise it did. Probably one of the best companies with DRM.
Well, to be fair Windows 7 and 8 didn't run them either (unless I'm confusing them with Tages).
Microsoft isn't opposed to DRM as such, but is against stupid, invasive and possibly security breaching DRM. They're basically adopting Apple's stance on the OS.

Windows is *their* OS. Microsoft used to be more hands off, not so much anymore. I'm fine with it, as a user it means more consistency, less random stupid things because of 3rd party decisions.

If it means the UI gets nicely unified between all applications and idiotic 'bubble'/'glamour' design gets to be the sore thumb, I'll embrace it. Don't get me wrong, Windows 10 is a work in progress and by no means entirely complete, but I've come to embrace flat design.
Thank goodness for my black magic collection for these types of titles.
Yup, the retail version of Oblivion will not install on Windows 10 thanks to securom. Good thing it runs so well in Wine these days...
That's why these publishers need to release all their Securom/SafeDisc hobbled games on GOG and offer those with CD keys the ability to redeem them for digital copies here.

Honestly, this is another example of why I don't plan on ever using Windows 10 - It takes control away from the user. I would never install a game with SecuROM on my computer anyway, but to have that option taken away because Microsoft said so just isn't okay with me.

They probably won't do the latter, but at least when it comes to EA you can redeem some old CD keys on Origin. That worked for me with Mass Effect.

I of course do hope that publishers will bring more games to GOG, and any excuse to do that is good. :)

You know those publishers will choose Steam first instead of Gog .

Edit : Speaking about Origin . Aren't the Sims 3 / Mass Effect / C&C series still protected with SecuROM ?

Whatever it takes man. Once they get here we can be sure they will run on the majority of modern computers and be available to a new generation of players.

I mean we just got Revanent, REVANENT!!! And its works!

I was one those guys who got System Shock 2 to run on XP before it came here. Major pain in the ass.
