CharlesGrey: In the end you never really know until you've actually tried it on your system.

Anyhow, seems like you should be fine. The game should definitely be playable on your system, but anything regarding actual performance and quality is only speculation at this point.
Pc is only about six months old and like you said won't know until I actually try it.
Thanks for the help everyone:-)
Thanks for your replies! I tried the "canirunit" reccomendation and it worked pretty well...

The biggest issue here seems to be the low amount of RAM. And is the GPU some kind of mobile version? Is this a notebook system? Either way, you might be able to run it on low, but with that amount of RAM it's very questionable...
Can't wait for this game to release. I bought my preorder copy and I am looking forward to a game a bit better than the Witcher 2. I liked the combat from 2, but the story and environments from 1 much better. Really wish someone would remake 1 in the Witcher 2 or 3 engine.

CharlesGrey: Is this a notebook system?
But of course, both CPU & GPU are mobile versions (see the M in the end - i5-2450M & 610M).
Anyway, your GPU is too weak to run The Witcher 3 I'm afraid (not to mention not enough RAM), you most probably won't be able to see at least a decent slideshow with your PC.

Right, missed the "M" in the processor specification. Sucks for OP, but I guess it's fair that you can't expect a brand-new high-end 3D game to run on an outdated notebook. You'd have to spend a lot of dough for a gaming notebook capable of running TW3 in good quality.

Yes, actually, it's a laptop. My gaming laptop. Still, even if my desktop survived, which it did not (dead from 2013), it is from 2006, so it couldn't run it either...

It's not only the ram. Seems Witcher 3 needs 64 bit environment, also...

Ah, I missed that too. It's probably because modern games have higher RAM requirements, and 32-bit OS are limited to something like 3.5GB in total? Anyhow, I got 32 and 64 bit versions with my purchase of Win 7. And if you own a 32 bit version I -think- you can upgrade to 64 bit for free.

Not like it matters, since your laptop seems to have so many bottlenecks for TW3. Like I said, upgrade if you can, or stick to videos of the game for now. :(

Better yet, you could play ( or replay ) the first two games.

( Edit: And by upgrade I mean buying a new machine, since upgrading notebooks is a pain and too expensive. Also, best get a desktop PC if you can, since you get much more bang for your buck. Gaming notebooks are really pricy. I guess a PS4 could also be an option, if you just want to play TW3 and some other new games. )

First two games? They have been melted down thoroughly. I have taken all paths, all different choices and chosen 2 saved games as main for would be import, not only one... At least i have that Grim Fandago Remake to have a go at...

Ah, I guess you'll just have to make do with other games then. I'm sure there's plenty of classics and interesting new games you could play instead. Sucks when you can't play that one game you're really excited about -- been there, done that -- but sometimes you just gotta deal with that. On the plus side, by the time you have a better PC, maybe the enhanced edition will be available, and you'll have a much better and smoother experience with the game. With a game of that scale, there's bound to be some issues they'll have to fix during the months after release.

4 gig actually
my clevo is running windows 7 32 bit ( for best compatability with games without going all the way down to xp )

and its sees exactly 4 gig
now if it USES all 4 gig is another question but i assume it does

it cant and wont adress anything over 4 gig though

I'm fairly sure it doesn't make use of the full 4GB. But then, I'm not sure if there's a difference between Win XP and Win 7 32-bit in this. I seem to remember there was some work-around for Win XP to take advantage of the full ( or almost ) 4GB? But as far as I know it only uses 3.5 or 3.7GB of the available RAM -- something like that.

Edit: OK, did a little research, and apparently the 4GB is the total amount of memory a 32-bit OS can handle, but the catch is, this includes other things such as the memory of your graphics card. So apparently, if you have a GPU with lots of RAM, that's going to cut into those 4GB of total memory the system can handle simultaneously. Hence why it can't take full advantage of your 4GB of primary RAM.
