A while back I kept getting emails and even when I tried to unsubscribe, somehow the system always managed to put me back on the list. Now it seems that I'll receive this newsletter whether I like it or not!

That being said, I did see a few giveaways with it before which was kinda nice. It's the same that I'd see after logging in, but I don't usually log in on a daily basis. These giveaways are incredibly tightly timed.

RafaelRamus: What exactly do you mean with "user-based individual discount and pricing system"?
Apparently they are able to set special discounts for some users without the need of discount codes now. They've tested it 2 weeks ago, maybe earlier for other people:

"We have prepared a dedicated discount for you on another story rich CRPG - Sovereign Syndicate.
[..] The discount will be added automatically to your cart when you add a game to it."

Actually the discount for me already has been visible on the game card, not only on the checkout. But it was not visible to other users.

Never experienced anything like that. Are you sure that there's no discount code applied anyway? Could you make a screenshot from this offer?

The newsletter did not contain a discount code and I did not have to enter one either to get the discount, so yes. The wording of the newsletter also was clear about that (see my last post). The offer was limited to 3 days only, then the discount disappeared. But there was nothing special to be seen. It looked like any other discount on the game card and on checkout, with the only difference that the discount was not available to everyone.

The discount is back now, but this time it's available to everyone and also shown on the game card when you are not logged in, as usual.

The wording of the newsletter unfortunately does not say anything at all. The "especially for you" wording is simple marketing blabla that is often written in such newsletters. So I still would like to see a pic of that newsletter. You still have the wording so I guess you still have the newsletter. Why don't you just take a screenshot of it?

I was referring to the second part, that the discount will be added automatically. There is no picture as my mail reader is text only. ;) And I refuse to open personalized links in such emails as they allow tracking and other nasty things.

I also received an email with a time-limited, exclusive, all-time high discount on Days Gone, which is currently sold at full price. The subject says Your exclusive discount: [code] and the message itself contains a direct link to redeem it and check out. It looks just like any other discount mail, nothing special about it, as you can see in the attached picture.

I suspect that even though the contained code is text-only, it and the subject weren't displayed, perhaps blocked by eiii's mail client.

This sounds logical to me since - like I said before - other than from eiii I've never heard of true personalized discounts here at all.

I got the code-less Sovereign Syndicate email (in German) as well.

If you would've waited a few minutes…

Hey - thank you. That one really looks different. Seems as if these "personalized" discounts really do exist. Every day you learn something new :)

I didn't receive this one, perhaps because I already owned it. :)

Edit: Are you certain that your mail provider or client isn't blocking parts of the message?
