ambient_orange: Skyrim remaster -> so devs can milk money from console peasants.
So pc version does not look extremely better than vanilla console version because console peasants dont like to play vanilla skyrim while pc moded game is incredibly superior.

Yeah, thats all folks :)
Quite mandatory. How else will they make money for all the invested work then on console if every Steam user gets his free update. Unless, you know, they release it also outside of Valves "jurisdiction". Like gog. Or a new "no online required" boxed edition. I would buy either. Like Morrowind or Oblivion back then.

I will not count on it ever happening. Not worth the frustration.
So does this mean we'll at least get the fuzzy old GOTY version here on GOG? Feck it, I'll take it.

snowkatt: oblivion is more then a decade old no w
and morrowind is a lost cause
I'm glad they're not touching Morrowind or Oblivion at least. To be honest, I think remastering in itself (of any game) is best left to the fans, as it should be a heart-felt thing to update old games while keeping their spirit alive - not a money-milking effort based on people's good 'ol memories.

the installation is on going as we speak

the mods work fine but the character animation is still a bit unnatural
