You're better off using my Wine wrapper for STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl rather than the script submitted to POL. I can't explain why POL downloads it twice, but the STALKER games don't actually need Gecko at all (or Mono, for that matter).

Is there more than 1 version of Gecko?

And SOC works now with WINE 3.18
