Bobo_Sims: HOWEVER: lately -- at least since the last two weeks or so -- every day I open Galaxy, I find the games re-ordered in some other fashion, even though the ordering is still set to be "By Title" and NO new games have been added since the previous time I opened the program!
And as a result, every day I have a hard time finding the game I want to play, even if it's the game that I last played the day before!
Yea as thomq said in Galaxy your installed games are listed on the left side of the client should be pretty easy to find unless you like uninstall your game when you aren't playing it. You can sort those games by activitiy or by name by clicking the 3 little dots next to the search bar, which isn't bugged.

But yea the library view is bugged and you will notice those games changing at random.

Bobo_Sims: Instead, we would say "stoelendans"; literally "chairs dance". If I had described the bug as a chairs dance, nobody would've understood. EVERYONE would have wondered whether I had been sniffing glue or something... :)
In Portuguese we also say chair's dance (dança das cadeiras). So I think we can divide the western world between those who say dance and those who say musical.

zeogold: It's a known bug that's been talked about in the thread which drmike linked.
Did any blue take note of this or is it being brushed off?

A few folks have stated that their tickets have been answered and staff is aware of the issue but no they haven't come to the forums and posted about it. Judas made a post a day or two ago about an unrelated issue on another topic and I doubt I could find it right off.

I believe the thread linked to up there has some discussion about that.

thomq: Wait a minute, in Galaxy? What about the games listed on the leftside, are they randomized, too? Those are your installed games. So when you are looking for a game you played the day before, it's probably listed there which should be a shorter list than your whole game library.
Sure, you're absolutely right... Just, for some reason I NEVER look there. Galaxy shows me a beautiful set of shelves with the games on them, which takes up well over 80% of the screen. It would be a waste to ignore that large a portion of the screen, so I'm just used to looking at the shelves, and select the game there. That has always worked for me. And if it weren't for that bug, it would still work, and I would never need to look at that bar on the left.

And the same goes for search... you have to move your mouse all the way to that tiny corner, then take your hand off the mouse to type... such a waste of time, and totally unneeded if that bug weren't there.

But, again, you are right: one *could* use that list and the search field.

Oh, that's terrible. On the website for both my games library and the store the search field is already blinking its cursor when page finishes loading. All I have to do is start typing. Hopefully they'll get the sorting worked out soon.
Since a few days, it seems the GOG team has figured out a way to fix the chaotic enthropy bug. Everything seems to be properly ordered now, and it has been like that for at least the last three days. Thank you, team!

I noticed that it had been fixed and posted such here:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/psa_there_is_a_current_bug_with_most_gog_libraries/post50

A few posts under that (or on the next page depending on your many posts you display on a page) is a follow up from staff:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/psa_there_is_a_current_bug_with_most_gog_libraries/post54

Someone had jokingly suggested that we go thru all of the threads on the problem and link to where staff had said they had figured it out. Sorry, maybe we should have.

Hope this helps

Thanks, drmike. Actually, I required no further help. Just wanted to properly end this thread and express my appreciation towards the GOG team. Because I feel it's good to not only let them know when things are wrong, but also when things are right! They deserve at least that :)
