tinyE: Still playing WC 2. :P Just built a Fortress on an island to win a mission. I think that is a rip off, or the other way around, of a AOE mission.

Kipper: Yea, you can basically just rush to eliminate the forces and build it. Kinda cheap, but WC3 features those a lot :D I still cannot defeat all the Human forces on Undead08. Not that it's needed, but it helps a lot
Not in the WC 2 one. The island is loaded with troops and towers. You need oil to get the boats to get over there to take out the towers and manage the upgrade to fortress which means you pretty much need to take out their docks and their NAVY first because if you don't you'll never get an oil rig built.

It's a very delicate process! :P

Defend base, build Juggernaughts, four transports with ogres and catapults. There it is :D But I always destroyed the whole map, just for the fun of it. You cannot do that in WC3 U08 or SC Protoss 07.

It's the Tyr's Bay map, right?

yeah. I beat it, but I'm not going back. :P I'm playing this and C&C 3 at the same time so I think I'll go mess with that for a while. :D

OK :) But when you load WC3 it's pretty much required to make a rush on some maps Undead08,and the final map.

I love WarCraft RTSes. Never tried WoW as of yet. Let me know if you need help with WC maps. C&C is yet unknown to me (believe it or not!)
I could think of a few options:
1) They want to remaster them like they did with Starcraft
2) Simple lack of resources/interest at Blizzard versus their own projections of sales even for a simple re-package and release of the original game
3) They want to recreate and rebrand the Warcraft RTS entirely to make it consistent with WoW lore . . . and then break that lore not even a week later

1) That would make Blizzard millions of dollars, no questions asked

2) That's how you rip your winning lottery ticket.

3) NO! Blizzard already said if there ever is WC4 it will continue with whatever WoW leaves off

Yeah, you might be right.

And OT, can I interest you in purchasing this? :P

I remember that mission (and the one before it) very well. They were tricky when I was a kid, but nowadays, it amazes me how easily I can breeze through them. The last few times I played, I held off on building the Fortress and Shipyard until I'd cleared the mainland.

I've played all the RTS Warcrafts, but ironically, I've never played the full Diablo 1.
Speaking of Blizzard, has anyone played SC Remastered yet?

Kipper, I already talked to you about it, but I'm always curious about other opinions.
