This is really an amusing thread. People saying that that it insane to buy a 100 games - not time to play them.

Looking back I do think I might have overdone it a bit :)

948 games on GOG and 2422 games on Steam might be a bit more than I can manage to play in my lifetime.

But heck, they say Steam is a gaming platform - I say it is *the* game.

Damn.
No human being I know can capably finish or deeply play 3000 games in one lifetime. Unless he/she strongly believes in a somehow afterlife. Actually, Afterlife is a game that I didn't play the way it should be. Will I play it on time before life drains out? Who knows! :P

Some cultures believe that if you are buried with your possessions then you can bring them to your afterlife. I am kind of hoping that is an option.

Of course assuming that you don't buy any new games in the meantime...

So that means I gotta put my entire GOG backlog on a flash drive?! :P

Once I read something nice about buying games in a compulsive way, something like "(...) well, some of us buy the games we like ahead of time in case they get pulled or, God forbid, GOG shuts down and some of us are just hoarders. Like me.. XD."

What a curious statement :P
Super necro, but ok.

I was at 355 games B.U (Before Unbundling)
Now.. ??

That's me here reading this :P
Okay
On GOG after all the unbundling of games I have (13/04/2015) : 905 games.
I was already sitting in the 880's with games beforehand anyway so I am not so shocked I went over 900. Now my played amount is less then 20% again so.........

Okay 3 lifetimes. Thats assuming I don't come back as an amoeba or something lame like that.
Very funny necro.
I have about 53 games and have been registered on GOG for around 730 days as of this post.

Since the past year, I've really started building up my library here to become more independent from Steam. Being able to copy your game installers is a great gift to make your games truly "immortal" or as close to immortal as data can get. I found a great amount of classic games here that I've enjoyed so far I wouldn't have known about normally. Some of the games here I repurchased, in the event that Steam's servers go offline, I'll still be able to play most of the games I really care about.

Sadly that only works if your possessions are DRM free... :P
One reason more to buy on GOG.
