InkPanther: Unless it's an official thread, eh?

real.geizterfahr: Not Linko's fault, he's not "GOG". His employer probably just told him to remove swearing from thread titles. If a guy from marketing puts a FCK in the title and his boss finds it great, Linko can't do shit about it - except maybe shake his head, facepalm a lot and think "Yeah, great guys... What a wonderful way to backstab your own forum dude..." He still has the order to delete swearing from titles from HIS boss. His boss and marketing dude's boss obviously didn't talk about the use of swear words. Just the usual stuff that happens daily in bigger companies.
It is Linko's fault to say all titles, which is clearly untrue. It's objectively false, there's no getting around that.

nightcraw1er.488: So will you be removing this thread:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_fck_drm_initiative_38362
avatar
ZFR: While I hate DRM as much as the next guy, I don't think it qualifies as a swear-word.
So what does the fck stand for then? Or is missing a letter more socially acceptable than asterix'ing a letter nowadays?

tinyE: OT
Why is apehater still here? :P

Not that I'm upset people like Kleetus and rtcvb32 are gone, I'm thrilled, but at least they didn't sit in here all day and tell people NOT to use the site.

If you ran a store would you let someone walk around it telling customers to go somewhere else?
Can I ask what this has to do with the relevance of the thread and putting OT in a statement shouldn't be allowed as an excuse to change the topic? I would of PM'ed you but you have me blocked for some unknown reason.

Linko90: It will be going live later today (Windows).
avatar
fronzelneekburm: That's a relief.

avatar
Linko90: Also, don't swear in your thread titles.
avatar
fronzelneekburm: Since you already changed the thread title, it might be helpful to other users to explicitly point out that writing f*** (that's an f followed by 3 asterisks, not the actual word) now counts as swearing. I approve of your pointing out to me the futility of this act of self-censorship.
you should have used fck...
