Maybe I'm a real dufus for asking this, but I'd genuinely like to know, so...

I claimed GWENT for free the other day, but when I went to download it just now, I saw no offline installers. Can you only download it via Galaxy? I mean, there is a single player element that you can play offline, right?

Related info please anyone.

GWENT doesn't have offline installers because it's an online-only multiplayer game. If you'll look at the Game Features box on the store page, you'll note Single-Player is not one of the features.

Yeah, GWENT's not a free game. It's an always online anti-consumer microtransactional money extraction service filled to the brim with maximal DRM. It doesn't belong on GOG in any way. It was forced here because of GOG's co-entity CDP.

How do you have two purple dots??? I never saw one next to username.
As others have said, GWENT is multi-player only.

Technically, single-player GWENT is Thronebreaker: https://www.gog.com/game/thronebreaker_the_witcher_tales

It's for the activity feed.

You can dislike the game and think it's full of DRM if you want but it is most definitely not anti-consumer. No pay-to-win forced MTX, just optional stuff for some cool skins/card back. The game itself is completely feasible as a 100% free experience.

Indeed. But at least that one goes away when you click it. Unlike the permanently bugged one for forum replies :)

Presence of mtx alone makes it anti-consumer.
DRM alone makes it anti-consumer.
Being designed to frustrate you to encourage spending to avoid prickling is anti-consumer.

Everything about GWENT is anti-consumer. Is it less anti-consumer than a full pay-to-win game? Perhaps. But it still *is* anti-consumer.
