But there are several large or genre-specific sales per year so you can bet it won't be long. If anything, there's always a end-of-year sale in december. Play Witcher 1 if you have to wait that long. It's very easy to get a free copy if you want it.

Exactly. Also this part of year usually brings even one big even per month - with Fall Sale, Halloween Sale, GOG Anniversaries, Black Friday and Winter Sale being one of examples returning almost every year.

Ah well, if you're looking for some specific games like the Neptunia series rather than "most games that fit the category RPG" then it's a bit more of a holdup.
Still, like ciemnogrodzianin said above it's the end of the year and we're bound to go through some major sales. You will have opportunities to buy them very soon
