I remember some time ago there were midweek sales (monday - thursday or something) and weekend sales. Now as I see there's only one week long promo every week, is that right?
There are also a lot of "special" sales for such and such reasons.

It has been working this way for quite some time, now. People raged quite a bit when GOG introduced this new system for their Weekly Sales. You basically have weekly long sales that usually start on Monday and extend to Sunday. These sales are updated with a few more games on Fridays. Then they're replaced by a new weekly sale next Monday.

Weekly Sales aren't the only sales going on, though, GOG tends to feature multiple concurrent sales at a given time, and some "special" sales don't have a specific day of the week to start; it's up to GOG and the publishers of the games being put on sale, I guess. For instance, despite this week's THQ Nordic Weekly Sale (which will end next Monday), GOG is also having a War for the Overworld "special" sale (going for 11 more days) at the same time.

It's basically how it has worked for some time. Fixed weekly sales from Monday to Sunday, sporadic sales that can happen mostly every day of the week. Still, I don't recall GOG having more than three sales going on at the same time, so don't expect more than the Weekly Sale and one other featured sale.

Someone asked this question a few weeks ago and this thread was pointed out as a record of the larger sales:

Depends on wat kind of sales u talking abt. There r currently weekly sales & some ad-hoc special sales aside from the usual seasonal (spring, summer, blah blah blah...) sales. Usually u can get better deals during the seasonal sales but if u cant wait some of the weekly sales r pretty gd also which goes 4 as much as 90% off 4 some games.

Relies upon wat sort of deals u talking abt. There r as of now week after week deals and a few impromptu extraordinary deals beside the standard occasional (spring, summer, yakkity yak blah...) deals.
In regard to that comment above mine:
Wouldn't it be nice, if I (we) could simply click on a (-) and then on "report this post"?
I mean, instead of copying the link to that comment, leave this thread, head over to the "report spam/bot" thread, write my comment there, enter the copied link, leave the "report spam/bot" thread again and finally continue my journey through the forum?

Wouldn't it be nice if a long time forum user knew clicking "report this post" hasn't been really working/utilized by mods for years?

That the OLD button didn't work as intended, is not really my problem, is it?
If you would have paid attention, you would have noticed, that nowhere did I say, I want a "report this comment" button, that does NOT work as intended.
I wish for a lot of things at GOG, but there you go.

If only wishes were horses.

Maybe we all should have ignored the Necromancer, and this thread may have quickly slipped back into the vault.

Alas we didn't and I just bumped it again ... bugger.
