Leroux: Why pre-order at all? The quantity of digital games is not limited, you don't really know yet whether the game will live up to expectations, in what state it will be at release, and unless I'm mistaken, there isn't even a discount for pre-ordering Pillars of Eternity. If you're not looking for a game to play right now and you can wait for the release of Pillars of Eternity, you can also wait for the first reviews before buying. Or, if you're not in a hurry to play it, wait for discounts, as it seems pretty costly right now and prices usually drop quickly nowadays.
I think I will wait a bit more for Pillars to see how is going to be, but as far Ive seen the game looks lot promising as Divinity: Original Sin.
rtcvb32: Yeah i agree, wait for promos.. If you're usually strapped for cash, wait and only get games at 75% off or higher, that will give you a lot more bang for your buck...
Although if you can't wait, depending on your tastes i got a few recommendations.
Ring Runner - Space fighting/flight action. Always good
Shovel Knight - Suppose to be really good, haven't played much
SpellForce 1&2 - Assuming it comes back for a blip, it's pretty good, lots of hours to play
Sacred 1&2 - Diablo-like clones, good time wasters.
PixelJunk Shooters - Semi flight/action, semi-physics puzzles.
MOO 1&2 - 4X... IN SPACE!
AI Wars - Haven't played yet, love the music!
Avoid point&click, not because they would be bad but because there's almost no re-playability after you finish them.
As for what's on sale
RIGHT NOW...
The Pits - Rouge-like... nuff said. $6 for everything except the new DLC
Tiny & big - 90% off...
Raptor - Good scrolling shooter as i recall, although i never got very far
Crimson Clover -
TB did a video on this game... A good entry into Shoot-em-ups and bullet hell.
Humans must answer - Side scrolling shooter, humor based on chickens...
