TentacleMayor: Graviteam tactics games with their achievements and all. I'm hungry for pausable tactical RTS but too broke post-winter sale to get Armored Brigade yet.
Graviteam Team's Operation Mius and Tank Warfare Tunisia 1943 would be nice to see here.
But would Andrey be ok with being drm-free?
A return of Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis GOTY. It was replaced by the inferior ARMA: Cold War Assault (that had Resistance DLC but lacked the other Red Hammer campaign DLC). And then even that was removed from the store.

RogueXanter: Also there was a tactics game, and maybe a series but if so I think I only played the first game, that I don't recall the name of focused on fighter jet battles. The one I recall had to be from the 90s because I'm sure I recall a scenario based off a battle between a flight of US Navy jets, and an Iraqi air force unit during the First Gulf War. And I also remember at least one battle from the Korean War, plus I think there was one based off the final battle of the movie Top Gun.
2D? Cenital view, with each plane able to change altitude? One of the scenarios concerned warthogs (A-10 Thunderbolt) blowing up Iraqi tanks? The game included descriptions of historical jet fighters? Like the different versions of the F-16, etcetera?

Reading through threads lately it's sad to find the number of good games pulled from GOG. I'm sure there are a lot pulled from Steam too, but here with the much smaller catalogue, it hurts.
Sid Meire's Civil War Collection.

Indeed. It's another case where all the ARMA games removed from GOG are still on Steam (though their ARMA:CWC is also inferior to OF:CWC GOTY in missing Red Hammer). Fortunately I still have the disc version of OF:CWC, and to give the devs credit they did actually patch out the DRM for disc owners before the game even went 'digital'.

It might seem that a part of those are due to (rapacious) copyright actions? Like the one on the rights for Chaos Overlords, that has had the effect of paralyzing the development of what was going to be Chaos Overlords II :-(

When did they patch out DRM.

IIRC the Arma games went away after gamespy shutdown and they were profiting from the DayZ mod jsut before Arma 3 came out.
Arma 2 got one last patch for steam users only unless there is a hacked version out there.
Not sure if it counts, but War Inc. would be nice

Spectre: When did they patch out DRM.
I don't know about the newer ARMA 1-3 games but Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis (the disc version) used Codemasters own FADE DRM and I think it was patch v1.96 that removed it way back in 2005. I can confirm that the discs are only required for installation, not play, as have multiple other people:-

Ubisoft pulled the game from sale saying that their licenses had expired. There's question as to what licenses were involved regarding depictions of 70+ year old World War 2 hardware. There are many, many games that clearly paid nothing to depict same, but.... this is Ubisoft.

Ummmm... this would seem extremely off-topic and in fact related to a different thread altogether. Not even certain the people you are trying to communicate with are viewing this thread.

Close Combat is here already, so that covers the vast swathes I'd be looking for.
