But it's not that Edgar Allan Poe-inspired game, is it? I remember some screenshots of an adventure game that was supposedly inspired by his works and it was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the screenshot but IIRC the style was totally different.

Sorry no. Maybe the screenshots have to much focus on theatre and music, however they are both only two of the puzzles.

Barbarian by Pysgnosis, the C64 version. And holy joint smoking drumstick eating bodybuilder was the Amiga version much better.

I mixed up the screenshots a little after digging for some, yeah it's not the Amiga version BUT this is the Atari ST version of Barbarian. Looks like the same game to me, just not the right system quite yet.
Oh, C64 version after all? The C64 screens I found didn't look quite like what Arturo posted. o_O

Aaaaaah, yeah, wasn't aware of the fact that it's two completely different games. I knew that there were some weird screenshots of Barbarian which look nothing like what I have played (which would have been the Psygnosis game) but I assumed it was just very different versions, not completely different games. That explains a lot.
