In other news, strategy games are awesome! I actually wanted to ask the community the age old question that the Courtesan asked Tiny E-Would you like to dip your wick?

Er....wrong question. More like what is more popular and well-liked by Gog community-

Real time strategy games or Turnbased strategy games?

For turnbasd Rotk 7, 8, 9, and 10 are awesome. Otherwise I dont play any of the turnbased ones.

I am really liking real time strategy as it is more engaging and fun and is also harder to. Robocalypse on Nintendo Ds is awesome right now.

What about everyone else? Tiny E is crying.

;)

I hate you because you made TinyE cry.

I don't know what is Rotk 7, 87, 9, 10...

Real time makes me afariad and sweat and shake. So I prefer rutn base
I quite enjoy both. I'd say between the two I prefer RTS, but I certainly enjoy and appreciate the different dynamics of these genres.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Its a grand strategy game that lets you create your character and make up to 100 created officers/kingdoms. Its got roleplaying elements and 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 are all turnbased and on ps2 and ps1. They are the only ones turnbased that I like.

I really enjoyed RotTK games, I have also been enjoying NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Sphere of Influence. You should check it out
For me, I think it's a tie. Especially since in a lot of RTS's you can just pause or slow down time.
Hmm, does that make me more inclined to TBS then?!? Well, I let you decide... ;o)

Don't know about others but I prefer turn based.
Most people prefer turn-based to real-time because it gives more more time to think and is more convenient because it can be saved in the middle of the game. You can drink a cup of coffee, think about what you're gonna do, pause or save it to go to the bathroom as a result of the coffee, and come back without being suddenly thrown into a hail of gunfire.
Turn based clearly. I do sometimes play RTSs but it always feels like you're in a rush. And you constantly have to so something, you can't just sit back and enjoy what i did until a point. I also love TBS/ real-time combos like Lords of the Realm 2 or the Total War series and also RTSs with pause like the paradox games. Imho Total War is the best of both worlds.

Turn based, the only strategy I can do real time is zurg rush.
While I do like some RTS games I think there are more TBS games out there that I have enjoyed.
I'm currently playing Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes.
