zeogold: What's "quality" to you may very well be utter crap to another person, dearie.
And again, I reiterate my previous question:
Have you actually played said games to determine for YOURSELF whether they're good or not, or are you basing this judgement solely on what you've seen in trailers, pictures, etc.? micktiegs_8: I can't agree with that first statement more, but the self-contradiction is blindly evident if I see certain people use it.
You don't see many people argue back when a game has the opposite of what the OP is complaining about, and it's apparently crap do you?
Just mentioning the observation is all... not looking for an argument.
Personally, I don't really care what games are available. In fact, I like having more to choose from rather than having my options limited.
I note that the same people who complain about the "low-quality" recent releases (which they're often in the minority in as these games usually receive excellent reviews on Steam and other services) never say anything about how the Hugo games should be removed from here because they're so terrible, or how the Zork Anthology is a rip-off because you can download the first three games for free.
They tend to act as if, just because they, a small number of people who happen to use the forum, like a certain type of game (stealth, action, RPG, whatever), that EVERYBODY will somehow want it when that simply isn't the case. The forum is not the majority. If anything, it's the slim minority in many aspects.
If a developer has put legitimate hard work into a game, I see no reason to hate it. Recognize it as something which you dislike, but don't act like it's some end-of-the-world wreck which deserves to be purged from the earth.
The exception is if they're scam artists or something like, say, Digital Homicide.
The problem a lot of people have here is what GOG rejects rather than what they accept (if you rejected X, why is Y here?!). So really, the base problem isn't "I hate the new game here!", the problem is "I hate the fact that the game I wanted isn't here!"
