ZaineH: Anyone miss out on Rise of the Triad?
I missed it too, many others also did. You are not alone. :)

I'm not sure if it's even worth the $2.99 in the promo. Reviews and ratings are not that good and the game also seems to have technical issues. I liked the old RoTT though.

I bought it on sale some time last year for around $2.99, honestly I wish I didn't. It's not especially bad in any way but it's not very fun either. I had zero technical issues (I was about four levels in when I quit and encountered no bugs) but I will say that everything just feels sort of "off", especially character movement. Of course that was just my experiences with it, I'm sure some people loved it.
Has anyone had any success in converting to a giftcode? I don't understand why someone who doesn't own the game, can't get a code instead of it just being added to your self. It's just one giftcode for a single game -- it's not like I'll go off and make a fortune by selling it to the highest bidder. It's not Fallout.

Usually a lot of forum regulars miss out when the site gets flooded by people looking for freebies and all I wanted was to give this copy to someone who's part of this community. Why does GOG have a problem with that? I get that they want the flood of freebie seeking gamers to snap up as many copies as possible in the name of customer acquisition but this particular copy is already languishing in my inventory.

I feel like I did something bad because I'm sitting on a game I don't want which someone else could have had if I hadn't clicked on the damn button. =(

Did you have someone special in mind?

Just anyone who posts regularly on the forums, but it's kind of a moot point because support won't convert the game into a giftcode. =(
i wasnt even aware it was being given away for free and ive been on gog all week (twitch & forums)...though i did see it in the current promotion and am tempted but not now i see so many got it for free :( oh well will have to wait for next time.

meelten: I have an email with giftcode but I see that game is already on my shelf and serial numbers are different. So what's going on, did I get two copies of RotT?

moses2357: Someone mentioned that the serial number is for online play.
Yeah but it's not the same code. The serial number is shown on the shelf display of the particular game below its installation files.

I received a gift code although the game had already been automatically added to my account. I consulted GOG's stellar support team and they generously allowed me to give it to someone else.

So if anyone is interested in the game please reply right here in this thread.

Requirements:
- You actually want to play the game.
- You must redeem the code yourself as soon as possible. It's not for trading.
- I prefer to hear from people who already asked (politely) for a gift code but haven't had their wish fulfilled (though the thread is brimming with generous, clicker-happy GOG genies) so please provide a link to your initial request.

You don't have to be the first one to reply. I'll choose a recipient sometime tomorrow.

If no one is interested, I'd be happy to get it. I was logged in the whole day except for the little time frame the giveaway happened. I still wonder how these 30k keys were gone that fast.

Then it's yours DeMignon. :)
Considering what a helpful, problem-solving community member you are I'm only happy to send it your way.

As I've already said via PM, thanks a lot Lemon_Curry and also for your kind words! Missing the giveaway as a regular forum member was a bummer, but the GOG community, in this case you my friend, never lets one down. Thank you very much! +1

DeMignon: Thank you very much!
My pleasure. :)
As I wrote in the PM I'm just glad I could repay the helpfulness (albeit in much smaller measure).
