Up to 90% off some neatly groomed games: Brütal Legend, Hatoful Boyfriend, Earthworm Jim 1+2, Fran Bow, and more!

You can tell a lot about a videogame character by the way they wear their hair (hey, that rhymes!). It might look dishevelled to match their whimsical personality. Or closely trimmed to let everyone know that they get things done. Some of our heroes are completely hairless because, frankly, hair products cost plenty of gold and who's got the time to be staring in the mirror all day when there are monsters on the loose? But Nice Hair goes a long way, and it might even get you an up to 90% discount, if you play your cards right!

The signature metalhead manes are only a small part of Brütal Legend's appeal. Turn the volume up and let them flow against the wind as you drive around in your hot rod, taking in the wildly imaginative world, gory action, and hilarious interactions.

Fran Bow's full bangs make her look adorable but also greatly determined. Looking for your wayward cat inside a nightmarish asylum is no child's play, after all. And when Fran overcomes the puzzles and talks to the other inmates, some even darker truths will emerge...

Earthworm Jim doesn't need facial -or any- hair to look badass. What he needs are his eccentric guns, oddball enemies, and intense action/platforming antics. Perhaps a slimy sidekick that can change shapes will come in handy too.

Treat yourself to some stylish games that will make you look extra fabulous. After all, everybody deserves to have as Nice Hair as these guys: Hatoful Boyfriend, VVVVVV, Shadow Man, and the others!
The promo will last until September 16, 9:59 AM UTC.

Wishbone: You don't get why I mentioned it, or you don't get why GOG put it in the headline on the promo page since the game isn't in the promo?
WTF!?! I swear it was in the promo when I first looked at it. What happened?
How can anyone, especially a metalhead, pass on a game that features a f@#&-ingly awesome intro like this?

Apparently it was a mistake, because they've removed it from the promo headline now.

Maxvorstadt: Hatoful Boyfriend? What kind of game is this? Seems to be a weird one.
It's a very, very well done parody of dating sim games. Hard to describe without spoilers, really. Imagine you're stuck watching a romantic comedy and you keep thinking, "Man, what this story needs is a zombie robot apocalypse." Bam, wish granted. Kinda like that.
In regards to this promo, all I can say is FAMINE BEFORE FALL SALE FEAST.
Hatoful Boyfriend sucks.

I'm sorry but it sucks! :P

Purchase at your own risk.

Oh. Now everything is clear.

drealmer7: OOO, Fran Bow at that price, I can't pass it up, she's been HIGH on the to-get list for some time. Excellent!
Good choice... loved that game; gifted it to all my kids (My copy is on Steam though).

about as weird as the idea behind this promo

and hatofull boyfriend is a visual novel pigeon dating sim

...shut up
VVVVV is a must have for any C64 fan. The game captures the feeling of 8-bit computers :)
Any fan of point & click adventures should definitely pick up Fran Bow. If all it had was the gorgeous art style, that would be enough for the price. But other highlights include the music and a compelling story that invites theories and speculation, while providing enough substance to support them. This is ambiguity used responsibly, whereas some other games might offer nothing except pretentious hand-waving while sensually whispering 'ooo, Indi.' I hope the developer’s other project Different Galaxy will make its way to GOG too.

The one to avoid is Earthworm Jim 3D. The late 90s had a 3D boom, and there were a lot of growing pains. Everyone remembers Banjo Kazooie and Super Mario 64, but for every one of those classics there were five imitators like Earthworn Jim 3D with awful controls and a game-breaking camera. The weekend promo is still running with Beyond Good & Evil, and Rayman 2 & 3, so there’s plenty of other choice on offer for that genre.
Well this one promo where my wallet is totally safe. Nothing for me :)

Ah, that's easy... because the wolf isn't among us. :)
