Which games are keeping you company this weekend?

That was a pretty huge Summer Sale, guys! With free games being given out left and right, and hundreds of deals up for grabs, everybody emerged with well-stocked libraries, big smiles, and pleasant dilemmas.

Like: shall I play the magnificent Spelunky that I got for free or should I begin my fourth playthrough of VtM: Bloodlines now that I got it DRM-free? Is it finally time to cash in my accumulated 2-month work leave and tackle The Witcher 3 + Expansions? Perhaps I should go for a quick Shadowrun instead, see where that takes me.

So many questions. But your answers are all that matter!
Will you be playing any of the game(s) you snagged during the Summer Sale? Or are you saving your backlog for a rainy day?

Go on, share your Weekend Playlists with us. They can include single-player games, multiplayer games, console exclusives, anything - we are not judging. In fact, we are sharing too!

GR00T: *Incredibly detailed Dragon Age: Inquisition review*
Wow, that's a lot of information, thanks for sparing the time!
Looks like a really expansive, rich game - I definitely need to push it further up on my to-play list and get started. It's been a long time since I played DA 2 and my memories of it are a bit blurry. I certainly liked it more than most people did, but it had plenty of glaring issues which were hard to overlook. Glad that Inquisition is such a vast improvement.

My status report: after an intense two-day marathon that nearly turned my graphics card to ash, I finished the main campaign of Shadow of Mordor and I must say I ended up liking it much more than I expected. Those who describe it as "Batman: Arkham meets Assassin's Creed in Middle Earth" are not far off, but the nemesis system and the smooth overall presentation make it stand on its own. It can get slightly repetitive after a while, but a highly recommended game overall.

This weekend was a little of Gwent with some scumbags and few miles of NFS on Vita.

Already beat the Criminal Origins, quite a decent game, but I prefer F.E.A.R rather Condemned by same devs.
I've started to replay The Elder Scrolls: Arena.

I actually *like* the fact that there's no looking up or down in this game.

Damn, now I want the Shadow of Mordor GOTY even more! Hopefully that'll drop down to $5-7 in the next year or so and/or come to GOG er sumpin... The trailers and gameplay videos I've watched on YT look awesome.

That one's been sittin' on my backlog shelf just calling me like ''heeeeey why dontcha play me a little, eh?" ;)
And the sequel, console based ONLY. When I first saw it I was like daaaaaamn ;(

mecharma: After finishing the WItcher 3 (yes!), it's a rare treat for me (recommended by a good GOG friend), which I didn't see coming:

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir

It's...amazing...
I also bought that game for my PSV, it was in my "to buy list" :)

But with the weather we have had here this week and WE (shower/rain/thunder/sun), I wasn't in a good mood to play any games -_-

I watched some anime series, this time they were not in my backlog list > Aria (S1) The Animation, Aria (S2) The Natural, Aria (S2.5) Arietta and started Aria (S3) The Origination

Yeeah, I wish there was a PC edition of Condemned 2, I would definitely give it a try.

Condemned also was on backlog but after making through a few chapters I started enjoying the atmosphere and presentation that i finished in a like a 2-3 days, it's rather a short game. But it can be finished in like 7-9 hours of play in one day I guess. I was in no rush though ))

I never beat Condemned because my Xbox disc had a glitch that made the game crash when the final boss came out. I have it on Steam now, I think, so I guess I should give it another shot at some point...

I spent the weekend getting back into Witcher 3. It's the first time I've played it since Blood and Wine came out and I'm getting used to all the little changes they made to it.

Got most of the way through Broken Age.

Beat that damn snow level in Donkey Kong Country. Take that, stupid spinning barrels.

Same here. I suck at controller based fps games, man. Gotta try to improve I must say.

Glad to hear that! Hope it's not that scary, not my thing when it's those *I need a quick diaper change asap* type of games ;P
Thank you, iRevolt ;P

ps: 11yr old me nailed that level and got waves of applause by his brothers / 25yr (I think!) old me couldn't beat it even without some ZSNES tricks such as removing the heavy snow. Damn! ;(

Really?

For me, rain and thunder ARE the best for gaming :)

Yeah, the snow covering the screen is one of those dirty tricks that make you want to smack the designer. I was finally able to overcome the stage simply because I kept scoring extra lives.

The barrels are the only thing I'm really struggling with in this game as most of the other platforming and enemies aren't that hard. I think I saw a GCCX episode in which Arino beat the game and I think he struggled most with the barrel levels, too. Not to seem disrespectful but I figure if the Kacho can overcome this game in one day, I don't have any excuses :)
A week-end of the original Ghost in the Shell manga. Superb. After I've finished the complete GitS, excluding Arise, shall move on to full-length Akira Manga :)

Also, watched 'The Devil's Tomb'

Directed by Shane Canary's son, Jason Connery. Sadly, this film isn't an Asylum Pictures release, therefore it lacks the comedic redemption of a 'Sharknado!' for example, or a 'Sherlock Holmes'.

The cast is pretty impressive, including Cuba Gooding Jr, Brandon Fobbs from The Wire, the big man himself Ron Perlman, rock legend Henry Rollins as a priest :/ and a bit part for (hushed reverential tones) Mr Ray Winstone's 1920s Chicago mobster accent.

A curiously bland film, mixing the BDSM from Event Horizon, the accidentally hilarious 'ZOMFGthat-cop's-a-PRIEST!' moment from [REC] 2, pseudo-theololical David Icke-ry from Prince of Darkness, and a very -very- soft porn lesbian scene that appears to feature a quantity of Heinz Baked Beans.

Hardly worth watching tbh, even for the Beans scene.

Phew, thought I was the only one having troubles with that. I mean, the kid me did this with almost zero hassles and had a couple of issues with water based levels only back in 94; and Arino-san... jeez so many good memories with his early episodes.
Thanks to him I found out about some classics I dearly love nowadays such as Konami Wai-Wai World (never been a famicom aficionado) and some more ;)

Say that to a dude I used to know who brought his brand new ps3 home -he preordered it I guess- on day one and the whole thing some kinda EXPLODED (along with the camera he was filming the 'unboxing + his pc, since he was streaming the whole thing) because of heavy rain and lightining! :P

Wow...did the PS3 (or anything else) survive?

Also, that was a super confusing video...
