So can y'all low rating my posts HERE let me know what's so low rate worthy about reporting spammers and thanking the ones cleaning it up?

For those doing it thinking you're helping the board(by trying top do it to perhaps get me to leave)....how does it help the board to low rate good/useful posts and good actions by people or to semi-discourage people helping the board?

Gods, use some common sense and also(with covid on all our minds, in many countries) don't you all have BETTER things to do atm.....like maybe taking care of loved ones or playing your games?

For maybe a few pages.....a good portion of it has been ontopic(of the 48 or so pages) and mostly civil.

That said: If someone sees posts going offtopic-etc they should report them to the CMs to clean them up/talk to the users.

(Also staff likely know about that thread, judging by the posts missing from it, so there was no need to report it[here I mean])

The conversations in that topic have been very civil. So i don't see a problem.

I will investigate and begin keeping a closer eye on it.

Civility is very welcome. However, political discussions are against the forum's Code of Conduct, and so should not be occurring here.

Please PM a mod (either PainOfSalvation or myself) to report other violations of the Code of Conduct. I would prefer not to invite moderation fights by trying to have a public place to report people.

If I may muse a bit on this, imo some exceptions to the rules should be made(in any venue/forum/etc, IRL and online) in exceptional circumstances.

In this case it is an exceptional circumstance(worldwide pandemic), so can't GOG/the mods relax the rules a little bit for cases such as this(as long as people are civil AND make what they post pertain to the topic)?

Maybe ask higher ups if we can have a temp exception** to the "No politics rule" for just that one thread(and maybe the few threads on this as well) while this situation is ongoing around the world?

(**=By that I mean one where the stuff posted must pertain to the topic at hand and not stray too offtopic or break any other rules)

(Addtion: I ask as mods have made exceptions before in certain cases when they deemed it appropriate....so I figured i'd ask if you could ask them and see if maybe they might allow such)
