budejovice: Yeah, I declined them all...

But if there is something unveiled for not-Galaxy, I know who they are and will track them down. :)
I thought you were going to accept them... when did this turn into a hounding? ;-P

Lemon_Curry: How embarrassing... My apologies HypersomniacLive, I'll go make some coffee so I can kick-start my brain cells. ;D

Or just hit that reboot button. ;-P

No need to apologise or feel embarrassed, I can see why you'd think it worked. And it was fun trying to figure out if it actually works this way.

Tsk tsk... forum improvements; how blind and naive is a person allowed to be? :P
Frankly, this was the most puzzling thought for me; I'd expect nth short of a miracle for GOG to implement any improvements to the forum functionality.
And it looks like I'm not getting notifications for PMs anymore. Anyone else?

Don't know, sent me a test PM and I'll check :-)

Done.
The forums are broken.

Yep. I got the notification for your reply but not for the PM...
*yeah* More broken stuff....

Grargar: The forums are broken.
But it only seems to be in this Witcher price thread. Or at least I am only seeing it there not not in other threads.

Apart from the greyed-out threads bug, and the occasional Error 500, the General Discussion part seems to work ok.

I replied to a couple of PMs earlier, great that the recipients won't ever know.
Off to submit a support ticket.

Yeah. It seems to persist, though.

I wouldn't really call it occasional. More like, usual. Seems I can't get to load more than 2-3 topics, before I get an Internal Application Error.

I know, I was being polite. I get it on other pages too, and even while trying to log in.
I submitted a support ticket about the missing PM notifications and the recurring Error 500 (and did not call it occasional).

Tannath: Exactly. ;)

HypersomniacLive: I see GOG has taught you very well, and very fast. ;-P
What did I say? ;)

The 500 errors are most likely either server overloading, or a bug in their webserver side website code that is also in a state of development I'm guessing, so they're probably working hard to sort these issues out ATM because with the release of The Witcher 3 coming in 10 days, the site is likely to be hit by a hurricane of people old and new buying the game and then perusing the rest of the site and their offerings and be more swamped than ever.

I'm getting the 500 error approximately 10% of the time by pure mental estimate, although sometimes it comes up more often in succession than others, then not as often again later. Could be server load spikes that come and go perhaps, hard to say. One thing I notice though is that when the page does load, it tends to load in a reasonable time rather than really sluggishly.

Hopefully they're successful at ironing these issues out within this tight timeframe though. I imagine their developers probably are working 16 hour days and sleeping under their desks now. :)

They've had site errors from November. We only now have a valid reason why these bugs have been showing up. Sadly it tookem this long to tell us. When most just thought they didn't give a $h!t....which is also kinda true by waiting this long >_>

Yeah, I've peed my pants several times already, at least as many as the number of Chamb's points in that announcement.

I got a reply earlier today:
We're in the middle of working on these bits of the site, so you can expect these glitches to be fixed very soon.
Sounds like it's GOG's messing with the site that causes these issues. Sadly, no ETA beyond of "very soon".

"How soon?" reply "Very Soon". I think I heard that in a movie before, "Romancing the Stone", which BTW is not a bad movie.

One addition: as a software developer, I can say that some of the most simple of tasks require more time than those which seem to be most complex. I haven't been able to figure that one out exactly without looking at the system.
