Wah, I never realized Fig took the "KS, but dark" approach to web design

Gonchi: Fig crowdfunding campaign = Interest 0
I got an email for crowd funding from them and I my first response is "you should have enough money to develop a game by now without crowdfunding".

Pheace: Meh, getting a super backer discount announcement after the early backer slots are already gone soured my interest, I can wait till the GOTY is on sale :)
i was lucky enough to get both :) . But ya dunno they kinda should have reserved early backer slots together with the super backer discount for the first 48h imho - bc ya if you missed the 3000 early birds your "super backer whatever loyalty discount" only brings you down to a price 3$ above the price for somebody who backs them for the first time and was just faster ^^. so ya can understand why you were put off

Will probably treat it as a normal game as well. Wait till it's out, see if it's any good, and then buy it in a sale if I like what I'm reading about it. With a Q4 2019 estimated release date, it probably won't be out for about 4 years anyway (and 5 before it's reasonably bug free), and that's a long time to wait. Not like $33 (or $28) is some kind of 'steal'.

That said, I liked Wasteland 2 and it's great they plan to release Wasteland 3 too on Linux -- but I can wait. If GOG still exists DRM Free 4-5 years down the line, it will find its way here.
Wow, now if they released it on disk with no DRM I might actually be able to play it, jerks.

Ah but f**k who cares if people can play your games anyway.

Wasteland 2 lowest backer contribution was $15 USD (i backed it a CE level)
Wasteland 3 lowest backer (non early bird) $33USD.
Dont think inflation was that bad between 2013 - now?.
No guarantee of a gog key?.

Meh, I backed it. Unfortunately missed the early bird tier, since I was at work when the campaign started, so had to go for the $33 one and got the super backer discount. If I enjoy this even half as much as I hvae WL2, it will be worth the wait and the $28.

Niggles: No guarantee of a gog key?.
In the FAQ it says: "For PC, we plan for Steam and GOG, and possibly others."

I'm a CE backer for WL2 and did some crowdsourced models for it as well. I like WL2 enough, it's not spectacularly fantastic but it's just good enough. Won't be backing WL3 though, not interested in FIG, also not too fond that they tried to bully a couple of indies for using the word "Wasteland" in their games.

Will however wait for the game to arrive on GOG and buy it on sale or something.
Man I wish this could of happened a few weeks from now, as I've been so unbelievably busy last few weeks I can only pledge, don't have the time to argue about the co-op or cinematic camera on the Inxile forums. Oh well.
New Fig update talks a bit about the multiplayer: link

A small win for GOG:

As you may recall, during the first 48 hours of the campaign we offered a free copy of either STASIS or UnderRail to early backers. We were initially offering Steam keys only, but many of you requested a choice for GOG.com keys, and we heard you! We were able to get in touch with GOG.com and the games' developers, and we're now pleased to say we will be offering the option for GOG.com keys for those two bonus games as well.
