I wanted both as both a fan of their series and the gameplay. I am looking for experience form the community. Which would you say I should buy first. I say first because I will be getting the next one ASAP.
I haven't played D:OS, but I've heard only positive things. After about a dozen hours with Wasteland 2, it really feels like it's a game that should have stayed in Early Access quite a bit longer...

I am hearing so many mixed things about WL2.
W2 is the best post apo rpg after F1 and F2. For me 9/10.
I've been following some of the posts on here about WL2 as well as on the BioWare Social Network and a couple other boards. It appears that most people think WL2 is excellent and I've seen an number of people say they like it better than D:OS.

That being said, I've seen pretty much nothing but praise for D:OS, so I don't really think you can go wrong there. Something to consider is that D:OS has been out longer and gotten a number of patches. WL2 is going to go through a patch cycle for a while yet, so I might lean towards D:OS just because of that alone.

You know I didn't thing of that. That is is my feeling toward games like Arcanum. I forgot to check those boards(I need to stop looking at steams boardTBH).
As a backer of both, I would say, if you don't mind having to apply patches time and again, get Wasteland 2.
But if you prefer to play it RIGHT NOW and not be bothered with patches that much, go for D:OS as the game's already out for quite some time and thus further down the after-release patch cycle.

Both are good games worthy of being bought at their full price.

I haven't tried WL2 yet, but D:OS is amazing.

Even more if you have a partner to play with in co-op.

Plus is cheaper, plus it's gotten a good number of patches.

Hard choice, anyway.
I can speak from experience and say that D:OS is amazing.

From watching Wasteland 2 some on youtube, personally the first thing that came to mind was 'Unpolished'.

I also hear complaints the combat is very one dimensional and boring after a while, there's not a lot to it. D:OS on the other hand combat is very interesting with the way elemental spells chain.
I cant comment on wasteland 2 but it seems that it needs abit of fixing. Divinity Original Sin is not perfect but is a very fun game. The humour is quite silly, reminds me alot on Fable in places.
Gameplay - Divinity: Original Sin

Story and Atmosphere: Wasteland 2
Good luck making a decision on this, I'm deciding which to get myself.

It can never be both huh? Perhaps the devs should get together and have a game baby together.
I can't comment on D:OS yet (Linux version hasn't been released yet... *sigh*) but Wasteland 2 offers excellent atmosphere and story. But it is a bit clunky and rough around the edges. Needs a bit of patching.
Divinity Original Sin.

Because it's like choosing between playing or reading.

No alright, I'm making fun a bit about Wasteland 2 because he tries but doesn't succeed enough for me to look like an enjoyable experience especially with the combat part.

In Divinity, you can have more control on the battelground with many skills at your disposal.

Although, it is just one part of the whole game, I feel it is one of the most important in a RPG.

Finally, Wasteland 2 just came out so be prepared for bugs and downloading patches :P
Divinity as others have said. I really like Wasteland but it is very unpolished and buggy which I guess will be fixed as time goes.

I haven't made much progress in either but Divinity has better graphics, interactivity and feel. Wasteland has more choices, more interesting world, better character creator. I feel the combat in both could be better.

This is just my opinion, they're both good games if you like rpgs.
