Keith_I2: Oops! Sorry guys, and gals. I see nothing has changed. Seems like no matter what I say, there's always at least one smart donkey in the crowd. Am I so high up the ladder that some may feel threatened?..... I guess so!
You did not say anything. There is no point or question made in your thread. It simply states something which is clearly already available and n many places without adding any further information information or reason why you have posted this random fact. So rather than getting upset, consider why your posts get these kind of responses. Or do you think that everyone should open a thread each to their own to post a very small piece of text with no purpose?

I get what you're saying but I don't see anything wrong with his thread. Maybe he needs to work on setting up forum discussions a bit better but discussing voice actors in a game can be enjoyable and worthwhile. I don't know why y'all are being so harsh on him instead of being kind and explaining why a single sentence OP is not a good way to start a forum discussion.

CMOT70: And the voice on the city PA system is Princess Leia.
I never understood that part to be honest. Why did they hire such well-known actor for such insignificant role? She never appears on screen, says only a few "world building" lines and even requires certain choices to be made by the player to even appear in the game.

Well, why did they hire Brad Pitt to play the invisible Vanisher in Deadpool 2 when he can be seen on screen for all of two frames? Why did they make Matt Damon completely unrecognizable under face prosthetics and a fat suit to play a fat redneck in a one-off scene?

For shits and easter egg giggles, that's why.

TheMonkofDestiny: Likely something to do with how games have evolved over time and how they're able to convey a story very similar to that of a film. You now get the division of people looking to either replicate what great films (or television shows) did or replicate what the games of yesteryear did. Rarely do you get that blend of both, I assume because it becomes a difficult balancing act to deliver a rich story opposite "here's my desire to be the next great homage of (title)".
I think game dev teams are still mostly led by gen-x people, who grew up with film as the absolute dominant media in popular culture. With millennials and now gen-z both having games as more of a cultural center, I wonder if this will change.
or or or deinaris as cave something in that dark crystal prequel
