Matewis: Absolutely, in a game of chess you can never let your opponent see your pieces
What? Do you play against blind people? :P

Heh, turns out it's adversary not opponent :P
they've always done this.

they wouldn't be able to make money after Steam.

I look at my cart. and I think.

what would this get me over there when that thing hits?
And that summer sale momentum could be helped even more by following it up with a new batch of publisher titles. XD

Doubt it will happen. Still, it feels good to say it.

Well, we are expecting a bunch of EA titles, let's see if they'll be released during Steam's Sale.
Many people will spend money again when steam sale starts. That's just the way it is lol :D
Me too if there's a good deal on something, mainly software. I hope that one day gog will decide to sell some software too.

sasuke12: I just realized that the timing of Gog summer sales is beneficial to them as it beats the upcoming steam sales starting June 23.

People who spent money buying games on Gog sales won't have any money left to spend on steam sales.
So steam will loose a lot of money due to competition from gog.

Early bird, got the prize and people's money.
Well played Gog, well played.

Also the fact that steam summer sale date was leaked proved to be advantageous for gog.
You realize GOG doesn't need leaked information right? GOG is owned by CDProjekt. Who also owns CDProjekt RED, who sells games on Steam and gets the VALVe newsletter telling when the sale will start.

Also, GOG has about 3-5% at best of the population of Steam. Most people on Steam never even looked here.

summitus: I am of the opinion that Steam probably don't really give a fuck ...

I agree aswell Steam doesnt give a fuck about anything, the only good thing is they dont have any manual reviews for purchases (unless they have tons of people doing it) you pay and after the payment has been verified you can access your content, while gamersgate uses manual reviews to protect the customers in these bad days of many many hacking and all that awfull stuff , and 'protect' their customers, well if you buy 5 products and get 3 manual reviews its not very funny.
Sometimes you have to wait 2 hours or even much longer, (6 hours or so) the cash is already in the bank of course but your orders are not so i would say no manual reviews, and make sure your system is 99.999% waterproof.
I doubt Steam even notices GOG.
Yeah, Steam's core market is pretty different than GOGs overall.
