stg83: From the FAQ page for Van Hellsing Final Cut.

"Q: Will the Final Cut be released on other digital stores?

A: It will be distributed on Steam, the Humble Store, Gamersgate and GOG.com."
I mean I am waiting for Van Helsing for ages on gog.com but 44.99$ after it was in countless bundles and sold for less then 5€ per title in countless steam and other sales. Sorry that's no go. At 75% off like it was sold on steam countless times already then yes.

I actually played the first one at Gamescom in Cologne a few years ago. It was pretty interesting at the time, but a digital-only, Steam-only release meant that it pretty much stayed off my radar after that point until it showed up for cheap in the Humble Bundles. Not bad games by any means, and they certainly have excellent production values.

I'll almost certainly pick up the Final Cut on GOG at some point, but no way for $45. If they really believe that they're going to have any success at that price point here (or anywhere for that matter), they have another thing coming.

Neocore discount their games very often (and quite quickly) so I would suggest holding on for a better price.

It is a fair price though (imo), you do get alot of bang per buck inc the 3 games and all the DLC's.

BlackDawn: I don't see how it could be a good idea to merge 3 relatively long games into one huge. Just imagined Witcher 1,2 & 3 as a single game, we are doomed :)
DDDOOOOOMMMEEEDDD!!!

(we are being sarcastic, right??)

And here I thought the movie is getting a Director's Cut. I'd watch it too. I always thought it's a way better movie than most people give it credit for.

I know, right? A lot of fun, plenty of Universal Monster action, it's not the slow paced horror movie I figure most UM fans were looking for, but that's not always a bad thing.

With regards to this, fuck, I just bought the first game. I'm not terribly far into it, but man.

Yes indeed, I never understood the hate it got, Dracula was brilliant and Katie B is always easy on the eyes :)
Geez, played 1 and 2, loved them, restrained myself on the 3 because of the really bad reviews (especially about technical problems), mays be I'll get the 3.

Does it mean that, if I do, I'll get access to the final cut version version as a big patch, for example?
I have Van Helsing I + II but haven't even played them yet. So i'll pass on this final cut version, especially because of the whopping $45 price.

Shadowflight: This means that you can reach level 80 with your character playing through over 50 hours of gameplay, but you can evolve up to level 100 and beyond with a Glory system in various other game modes, including multiplayer (4-player co-op mode, touchdown, arena, or battle royal), scenarios, daily quests, challenges and weekly events.
After I see that I dig out some more

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You’ll be able to reach level 80 with your character in campaign mode (this includes all the areas from the three games, new quests and optional tower defense games). You can get a level 80 character immediately if you choose so. You may reach level 100 with other game modes, then the Glory system kicks in which will be an account-bound endgame leveling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Account bound endgame leveling?

The community here will scream DRM lock content.

Well since you use Steam its good to know that if you own all three games there you will get a free upgrade to the final cut basic version on Steam (without the dlc content).

Painted_Doll: Well if you are a Steam user you were able to purchase these :

The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Complete Pack ( Humble Jumbo Bundle 2 ) $1
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing II ( Humble Jumbo Bundle 4 ) $4.51
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing III ( Steam ) $7.49

and you get the new version for free . But if you want to own the game on Gog : $44.99

Is it fair ?
No one buys off of GOG because the prices are cheaper here. In fact, it's usually more expensive and people tend not to care because they prefer paying more for DRM-Free. And remember that GOG is for last sales any publisher considers (except CDPR). "We have nothing more to lose from piracy, we've squeezed out Steam humble bundle sales, and we won't have to update it anymore since it's the final version. Now's the time to put it on GOG!"

There also aren't enough GOG users to get a decent profit at the discounted rates. A few will buy day 1 and the rest will wait for a 50% sale or something during xmas. :P
