Hey everyone,

A developer I met on Reddit just released a 4x game on the Google Play store called Uciana. It is a 4x game reminiscent of Masters of Orion 2 and it's on sale now for $0.99. Link here. This is a game he has worked on with his brother for a couple of years and I was really impressed with it. The controls are intuitive and the game has more depth than I expected. All in all I would recommend checking it out if you like MOO2 and for $0.99 it a pretty low risk game to take a chance on.

Anyway, I hope you guys take a look! Here is the description text from the Play Store game page.

Build your own space faring empire in this true 4X mobile game. Discover new technologies, other alien races, derelict ships and much more as you spread your Empire to the Stars. The galaxy maps and star systems are procedurally generated, so with every game there will be something new to discover.

You'll have to decide how to manage your Empire's resources between research, farming, and production, depending on your situation in the galaxy.

Do you focus on building up your current systems with more buildings, star ports, or defenses? Or do you continue expanding, building instead of Fleet of ships to defend your growing Empire?

Uciana features detailed turn-based ship-to-ship combat. In which you can customize the load out of each of your ships, with different weapons, defenses and other components. You'll have to use good strategies and planning to best your opponents in combat.

This game has been a dream of ours for many years. We will continue to improve the game play with adding content, balancing, improving the AI, and much more in the months to come.

I've read enough to know that I won't like it. Never support a redditor with money. It just encourages them that they can continue doing everything they shouldn't be.

this. reddit is straight up cancer.
Sorry you guys haven't had a good experience on reddit. I have really enjoyed it. It's the only social media I use in fact. I like that you connect over topics.

Anyway, sorry if it isn't your thing. I thought that the game might interest some GoGers, which is why I shared it.
Recommendations for good mobile/android games are always welcomed by me. 99% of them sadly look like what descriptions of an LCD trip sounds and are riddled with such an amount of MTX which makes said real LCD trip probably even the cheaper experience.

I, at least, will look into it; thank you. :)

edit: Another good sign (IMO) is that it requires next to no permissions. That thing is a s good as bought.

Blotunga might have something to say about that statement. Just saying. ;)

Lack of coffee trip made me do it... Yes, thats what I meant ;)

edit:
And yeah, Blotungas Birth of Empires is a great 4x. Looking forward to see how Uciana is compared to it in the coming weeks.

One of the very first things that happened was humans initiated dialogue to tell me that I disgusted them. 10/10.

Happens more than you think.

Augh! You are even uglier than I had thought possible!
Can't you see you are making me sick?
Please, foul creature, turn your head, or better yet, put a sack over it.
Never mind, I have adjusted my display so it is dim enough to be tolerable.
In answer to your question, our response is simple.
We must attack you because our masters, the Ur-Quan, wish it so!
Now if you don't mind, stop nodding your head like that.
We VUX do not share this range of motion
and it appears as though your neck is broken
and you are a jabbering corpse. Ugh.
I guess one needs a tablet for these games or plugging in your mobile to an external monitor. It does not look like a small mobile screen would be usable. How big a screen do you need (not resolution doh)? 8" 10"?

I have a Note 8 and its plenty big (6.3 inches) . A tablet would probably be better, but a phablet works great.

5.2" here = fairly normal for a mobile I guess.

From the video it looks that it has some depth and probably it's better suited for mobile phones than Birth of the Empires. I haven't got around to playing it though. For me BotE is complex enough and besides I don't have much time to play anyway lately. Actually I haven't even finished writing in Multiplayer although it was planned for 2017. Well, i never expected that having a child fills up your life that much :D
It has over 1,000 downloads. One last bump from me.
