It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Wasteland 3 & DLC are affected as well.

AB2012: Edit: The fact it's downloading from "cdn.gog.com" (Content Delivery Network?) makes me wonder if some servers around the world are affected but not others.

Edit 2 : So far myself and groundhog42 (both UK), Mori_Yuki (Austria), Cadaver747 (Russia), randomuser.833 (Germany) and Lhun Duum & BloodScourge (both France) are all seeing the problem, whilst Ketobak (Argentina) and wolfsite (Canada) seem to not be. Maybe the fault lies with GOG's European regional "CDN / cache" server? It would be useful if more people from other countries tested to get a clearer picture.

Edit 3: With people reporting the same issue from USA, Australia and Taiwan, it's clearly a global problem.
Romania here, and Fallout 3, No Man's Sky and SOMA work fine for me. Those are the only ones I own out of the stuff I've read is problematic.

Sounds like a problem with the CDN, perhaps replication, but I don't think the "master" installers are actually corrupted.
I'm from Gernany and I have the same problem, too.

Galaxy stops downloading Succubus at 85,8% and some of the files I downloaded via my browser are 8 MB in size.

So yes, it's a worldwide issue!
Succubus is affected too 3/4 of all 4GB files are less than 10MB each

kbnrylaec: Trine Enchanted Edition is affected.
Just wanted to add:
Offline Backup Installer files:
Windows = still issue (8 MB file)
Mac = no issue (1.8 GB file)
Linux = no issue (1.1 GB file)

*Note: Windows version did get an update this morning (05-OCT-21). Mac & Linux still have not received their updates, if that makes any difference.

Could this have something to do with the FB shutdown?

I don't think even GOG are insane enough to tie offline installers into requiring Facebook. On the other hand, didn't Windows 11 officially launch today? I wonder if an upgrade borked something...

You mean like some kind of cosmic balance, bad thing broke so a good one had to as well?
I just tried 3 of the games and they are back to normal. I haven't tried more yet, but this is promising.

chandra: Wanted to let you know that we're aware of this issue and our Team is currently working on a fix. Fallout 3 GOTY should be ok now, I'll let you know once other affected installers are back to normal.
Hey, GOG Support: The behavior described here where two users download the same file and it works for user A but not for user B is consistent with one single faulty download server behind a load balancer.

Check the actual download servers one by one. They each will have their own IP, you can't test them via the load-balancer address. If you keep testing via the load balancer's IP, the problem may appear "fixed" for you when, in fact, it isn't.

If this turns out to be the issue, removing that one faulty server from the load balancer resolves the behavior immediately.

An awful lot of websites are integrated with FB. My mom's bank has been having some fairly serious issues with it's automated systems the last few days.

All these big web companies promote integration, which is great for convenience, but not so great for security.

elcid11: I still want someone to try downloading the 8mp file to their phone and see if when you open it, it trys installing some strange game.
Based on what others have said about it being the first part of what it should be: your phone is somehow detecting the file as belonging to that game and "helpfully" trying to download it for you. If it is malware related, it is previously installed malware not from GOG, although I suspect it is more likely an intentional "feature". File identification is often done based on the first few bytes of the file, which in the case of GOG installer .bin files for Windows seem to start with 'idska32^Z' (where the last character is a single byte control-z). I would guess that the game files just start with 'idsk' and since the phone has no reason to know about GOG installer files it considers it to belong to the game.

Edit: What AB2012 said earlier, I somehow missed page 2 before posting :/.

Edit2: My theory of the download problem: GOG bear, disgusted by having to serve DRM games, has begun a campaign of sabotage until GOG returns to being a DRM-free store. We may see more such actions in the future...

Pathfinder: Kingmaker have that problem too.
I just retested this list from yesterday and most seem to be fixed. However, I'm still seeing a faulty 8MB on:-

- setup_dragon_age_origins_ultimate_2.1.0.4-5.bin (Dragon Age Origins, Part 6 of 7)
- gog_torchlight_2_2.0.0.2.sh (Torchlight 2, Linux version).
