I was trying to download the Windows offline installers but they seem to be corrupt. There are three files and when clicking on them to download they show the following:

1 x 1 MB - download size shows 749 kb
1 x 4 GB - download size shows 8 MB
1 x 3,1 GB - download size shows 8 MB

Can someone please try and confirm?

Can half confirm:-
- setup_fallout_3_1.7.0.3_(12034).exe downloads perfectly
- setup_fallout_3_1.7.0.3_(12034)-1.bin only downloads 8MB of 4GB as "completed"
- setup_fallout_3_1.7.0.3_(12034)-2.bin seems to be downloading fine.

Edit 1: I just tested the French, German, Spanish and Italian language versions of -1.bin and they work fine. It's only the English version with the issue.

It seems to be a much larger server problem that affects multiple other games. I'm also seeing the same "downloads first 8MB then stops" failure on other games including:-

- setup_dusk_1.7.24_(64bit)_(47009)-1.bin

- setup_soma_1.61_(64bit)_(50360)-1.bin
- setup_the_talos_principle_gold_edition_1.01_(64bit)_(42512)-1.bin
- setup_thief_-_deadly_shadows_1.1_(21683)-1.bin

Edit : Bizarrely the glitch only seems to affect some files and not others. Eg:-

Deus Ex Human Revolution:-
- setup_deus_ex_human_revolution_-_directors_cut_2.0_(37758).exe is good
- setup_deus_ex_human_revolution_-_directors_cut_2.0_(37758)-1.bin is faulty 8MB size
- setup_deus_ex_human_revolution_-_directors_cut_2.0_(37758)-2.bin is good
- setup_deus_ex_human_revolution_-_directors_cut_2.0_(37758)-3.bin is good
- setup_deus_ex_human_revolution_-_directors_cut_2.0_(37758)-4.bin is faulty 8MB size

For SOMA:-
- setup_soma_1.61_(64bit)_(50360).exe is good
- setup_soma_1.61_(64bit)_(50360)-1.bin is faulty 8MB size
- setup_soma_1.61_(64bit)_(50360)-2.bin is faulty 8MB size
- setup_soma_1.61_(64bit)_(50360)-3.bin is good

Maybe one of their server's has gone down?

I just submitted the error report and checked with Horizon Zero Dawn, all the big files are 8MB, while ENCODYA (1MB and 2.9GB), Townscapers (107 MB) show normal download sizes. So, yes, there seems to be a bigger issue at play here.

No issue on my side. English offline download of that particular file.

I just retested it and it's still 8MB. Same for the other files. I also used two different browsers (Firefox & Chrome) and they both still show the same problem.

It's entirely possible that GOG uses multiple regional "Content Delivery" servers around the world and you download from whichever one is geographically nearest to you, and perhaps only one of the ones in Europe has gone down?

I did it again, no issue BUT the bin-2 file downloaded for only 8 Mb (instead of 3.1 Gb) like in your case for bin-1 file. Clearly it's not about the exact files but the issue with GOG servers or something.

Allow me to save you some time: "just use Galaxy".

How odd...

Just last night, only about eight-hours ago, I had dl'd FO3-GOTY [English, Offline Installers], and it dl'd perfectly. No issues. Installed just fine.

Seems like the issue is not as simple as corrupted files that everyone is getting. Perhaps a CDS-issue, as hypothesized. But it might not be "universal".

Thanks for being mindful of my time, got plenty ... I'm also not using Galaxy normally and this isn't the solution to this problem. I gave it a try, though, and it downloads like normal. Interesting that the offline installer is one big file instead of several small ones. Wish this was the case without Galaxy. ;-)

I was just joking and being sarcastic :) Totally agree and this is a weird issue. Hoping it gets properly fixed soon.

Guys it is a ton of games that are affected. Pyre, x4, wasteland 3, kingdom come deliverence.... those are the ones I have checked so far. Either a server went down, or they were hit by a huge hack.

Ohhhhh nooooo. I just tried to see what those 8 mb files are. They seem to try and dl a small game on your device.


I think Gog was hit with a huge malware.

Not in the sense of all games being effected. I checked some more and found that The Witness, Per Aspera and Disco Elysium are faulty as well while The Outer Worlds or The Evil Within shows normal file sizes and download as normal.
