If there isn't, I could import the game into Steam and launch it that way so I can broadcast the game using Steam video broadcasting, however people would of course only see me, which probably would either not be too interesting, or would be very hilarious since I have almost no experience with the game and am likely to get slaughtered. LOL I only played it for a few hours a couple of months ago during some beta testing and only made it through the beginning of the game which acts more or less as a tutorial. I never got to actual fighting outside of the initial village. :)
Can you do that or us? Just post so people know how to find it

Tallima: You can play even if you've never played before. Combat won't be a big deal. Most of the activity will be talking to each other and characters using the chat function in the game.

We will not use voice communication.
I've asked if anyone can stream to twitch before, but nobody has with previous games. If anyone wants to stream, let me know.
If I'm able to make it, I will attempt to stream using Steam video broadcasting as mentioned above. I'm not sure what my outbound bandwidth is but I can probably handle a small number of people watching my game. I think my outbound can probably handle 4-5 people perhaps. Not sure if that requires someone to have a Steam account or not, but I will make the broadcast public. It can be viewed either in Steam client or on the Steam website. If I get it to work properly I'll post a URL later, or people can visit my Steam account (skeletonbow) and click on "Watch" when I'm in game etc. :)

Twitch requires Flash and I'm anti-flash so no go there for me. :oP I do hope Twitch starts offering HTML5 video support soon though, it's 2016 not 2004... :)

Yes, if it works out people can join from: http://steamcommunity.com/id/skeletonbow/

If anyone would like to test that out briefly right away let me know and we can give it a quick test. I'll go add the game to my Steam library right now and enable broadcasting.

Argh... bad news...

I added NWN to Steam, launched it and the Steam overlay does not work. That more or less means that video broadcasting wont work either I believe. I've enabled "anyone can watch" and have the game running presently at 1920x1200, with broadcasting configured to 1280x720 which usually yields the best results. (Don't want to murder everyone with 2560x1600 if I get this to work <grin>).

I tried to connect via a different computer on my LAN but not sure if that will work properly either way. I left the game running in the background though so if someone is able to connect let me know as I wont see it in-game as the overlay doesn't work. I doubt it's going to work though as I believe Steam's overlay functionality is how it captures the video from the framebuffer to begin with.

I have Raptr also, but don't have an online account set up for that and I don't think it can direct-stream. So it might not be possible to stream this game unfortunately, and likewise might not be video capturable either. I'm going to try to record it with Raptr right now and see what happens.

Ok, the Plays.TV app that comes with Raptr is miraculously able to record video from Neverwinter Nights even though Steam is out to lunch on it. Can't stream it without making an account on their service though, and don't really want to do that, plus I'm not sure if everyone watching would have to make an account or not either. I can record video to post online somewhere afterwards it seems though. It just wouldn't be live. :/

No problem. If it can't happen, it can't happen. If folks want to see it, they can watch. If I remember, I'll take screenshots.

Is there any open source comic book making software? I used to have comic book maker, but it quit working outside of xp.

Maybe Krita? It's a digital painting application that could be used for comics...

Dunno about that, but I'll let Plays.TV record video of my session and post the videos somewhere post-facto. My test tonight worked for that so presumably it will work for the game. I just need to ensure I have enough disk space avail. :)

Does anyone know if the game has an "observer" mode in which random clients can connect to the game server to arbitrarily poke around just as an observer? I'm a sad sad sad NWN n00b I have to admit, despite owning the game for like 12 years. Pathetic!

No observer mode.

Tallima: No observer mode.
Is there at least somebody who could buy me a plane ticket so I could fly to their place and watch the game over their shoulder?
Will be away that weekend, but good luck to all participants.

Where are you located, you could be in driving distance. :)

Every distance is driving distance if you're hitchhiking!
Walking down the endless street in the fierce wind is making me await the tavern in anticipation. I only hope that there is somebody around who will be able to fix my harp, Why, just why did I had to smash it onto this hard stubborn head of this ignorant hunter. And instead of he falling down, no he decided to take my harp with him while going down.

I really hope that there will be somebody in the tavern who can help me out there.

How nice it would have been to play a few songs to warm my self up.
