It's almost time for another treasure hunt!

Here's some of the previous ones I've done:

This next treasure hunt takes place in Neverwinter Nights.

What you'll need:

- Neverwinter Nights, v1.69
(you don't need the CEP patches, the 1.7x community patches or anything like that. Just the base install of the GOG copy will work for you)
- You will need to request a multiplayer key from support to play with us
- You need to sign up

When is the game:

PvP part:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=GOG+PvP+Treasure+Hunt&iso=20161015T15&p1=2119&ah=3
and again on:

Co-Op Adventure:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=GOG+CoOp+Treasure+Hunt&iso=20161022T15&p1=2119&ah=3

What is this game about:
This treasure hunt is divided into 2 parts.

Part 1 (PvP part): A simple Hunger-Games-style Battle Royale. Players will be placed on an island, stuck at level 1. They battle to death. Alliances may form. They might not. The game could last for several hours or just a few minutes. Traps will be just as numerous as goodies and magically enchanted locations. There will be no loading screens. Everything will take place one island map.

The winner of Part 1 will have first pick from the treasures and will play a special character in Part 2. Details will be given to that player.

There will be no role-playing in Part 1. This is player skill vs player skill. You are welcome to talk to people via chat or even make alliances behind the scenes and get on voice communication. But there can be only one.

Players' characters and user names will be named after their GOG forum names. Logging out of the game (even by accident or Internet failure) will count as a death.

Part 2 (Co-Op part):
In part 2, players will roleplay together using new characters (the characters from Part 1 are not used here - you get to make a living, breathing roleplayable character). They are stuck in an inn as a hurricane passes through. With no money, they work for the innkeep. But this inn has many secrets.

Players will work together to solve the mysteries of the inn and to snatch up any games they might find along the way.

This game will have DM intervention and will last about 3 hours (plus or minus one).

If you haven't played NWN with a DM at the helm, I strongly recommend that you do. It's the most satisfying game you'll ever play.

Who can play: Members of the community. Don't be on the Known Scammers list. No start date required. I will be moderating the event, so any mean or otherwise inappropriate players will be shown the door.
If someone I know and trust IDs a player as a known scammer and regular non-friendly "community" member, I will ask that that player not join us. So please don't sign up if you're a jerk.

Would you like to donate games? Send me a private message.

Beautiful concept!
I'd join if I could just for the heck of it, but alas, I am not in. I'm excited to see how it goes, though.
Just a bump while folks check out the sale.
This sound pretty fun, unless something else comes up, count me in!
I edited the first post. I had a date in the Part 1 section, but I don't think I'll make that date. It'll be in a few weeks (probably the 8th of October)
Your treasure hunts have always been fu! :) I'll see if I'll be here for Part 2, I like a good adventure! :)

+1 for the giveaway. It really sounds fun (like all the ones you organized in the past). Not sure if I have time to play, so I won't sign up for now. :(

Great idea for a giveaway. Sigh, I wish I have the time to play and still have the game. Lost mine when moving out of my rent house many years ago. It sounds so much fun.

This always sounded really fun ever since the idea was announced months ago. Sadly I have never played the actual game long enough to have a grasp on it yet. :/ I'd get stomped in player vs. player against even an average player as a result I imagine. Still it sounds like a lot of fun though. Might be fun to do regardless of the contest aspects though also... hmm... decisions decisions... :)

Depends on what life throws at me over the next week to deal with but I'm on the fence to sign up or not. I do wish I was more prepared though, and it is kind of embarrassing to a degree also as I bought this game well over 10-12 years ago and paid $44 for it back then and practically never played it, then bought it again here on GOG and played it for like one hour a few months ago. I mean... just what kind of RPG'er am I??? Sheesh!

I have completed Skyrim, and The Witcher 3 but I feel I haven't yet earned by RPG'er badge until I complete the BG/IWD/NWN/PST etc. classic collection either.

Don't want to sign up if I can't commit for sure either though, so methinks I'll keep it a tentative indecisive maybe and see how the pressure and anticipation builds over the next week or so. :)

Do it! Even if you don't win the PvP section, you'll have an amazing time for the co-op section. And also, you'll win a game!
I am still thinking about joining (for the fun), I already got the key, but I am not sure of the time. I'll bookmarked this thread, just to keep informed ;)

Ok, what the heck why not. Sign me up. :)
The rain beats hard on the roof of your caravan. It hasn't stopped for a day. A small village is nestled atop a large hill which comes from nowhere in these flat plains.

Burning torchlights act like a brilliant lighthouse to the wheeled ships carrying traded goods from all harbors a hundred miles away. And its light reveals that you are not the only one looking for a safe place to sleep tonight. Wagons from all directions catch the distant red flickers, and they are all picking up their pace. Nobody wants to sleep outside tonight. Not with the flooding sure to come tomorrow. And certainly not with this wind, which is beginning to stir the grass around you with a ferocity you've never seen before.
