Maxvorstadt: In the last few months nearly everytime I looked on GOG for the new release it`s another boring point and click adventure. It has nearly come to the point where I say to myself:"Okay, you don`t have to look at the new game, it`s surely a point and click game!"
I can understand that there are people who like this kind of games, but too much is too much.

I've been waiting for Soldier of Fortune 1 , Klingon Honor Guard and STV Elite Force II ever since the site launched (so FPS ;) )

HereForTheBeer: There are only too many P&C games if their rate of release is pushing back releases from other genres.
There are many scenarios in which an abundance of P&C releases does not indicate that releases from other games are pushed back.

I would be really careful saying something like this without proving it because it happens a lot that this is simply not true.
For example a user complained that too few old titles were released. Later, another user proved that this was incorrect.

Also, there surely is a reason why at the moment a lot of P&Cs get released:
If GOG are sensible then they decide upon which game gets released depending on a cost/revenue ratio. If getting a game to work or persuading publishers take a lot of hours and the expected revenue is low then the game has a low priority for GOG.
The same applies vice-versa.
That a lot of P&C's get released indicates that the ratio I was talking about is just right and that there are a lot of them atm.
In my humble opinion there can never be too many point and click adventures. Keep them coming GOG.

MBiL_248: I've never played the first Maniac Mansion, but I think we can be confident with that, it will probably released along with the upcoming DOTT remake. :)

haydenaurion: Yeah, that's what worries me. If the the DOTT remake is wonky like Grim Fandango Remastered, then it might be a pain to play Maniac Mansion in that. I'd rather just have the original DOTT or Maniac Mansion released separate.
I fully agree, though I like most of the remakes I would definitely prefer a separate installer for the classic ones.

vicklemos: =)

This will probably sound a little creepy, but here it goes

There he sits with his upcoming games and he won't get us sad
What a handsome lad
That's my boy

Telling Goggers he's doing his best
And that I can attest
That's my boy

In four short years
I've gone from rags to riches
And what I did before that I don't know
So let it rain on my windowpane
I got my own rainbow
And we're sitting here shining
Watching Judas grow

:P

Johnathanamz: You know what. This poem you said made me think of a very happy thought.
It's not a poem, it's an old tune from Bobby Goldsboro (he didn't write it though) called "Watching Scotty Grow" :P
But... it does make some sense after all, I guess! :D
I made the changes in a hurry, but I could've written "our boy". Hate calling people (especially someone as cool as him) as "my" something. Hate this possessions deal, that's why I only buy digital goods :P
Too much hate is something I also hate :)
