In the last few months nearly everytime I looked on GOG for the new release it`s another boring point and click adventure. It has nearly come to the point where I say to myself:"Okay, you don`t have to look at the new game, it`s surely a point and click game!"
I can understand that there are people who like this kind of games, but too much is too much.

You should've been here when just about every week there was an RTS or two being released...oh wait, no one said anything then :P
Well, you may see it that way, but the way I see it is, contrarily, "Not enough point-n-clicks!" (I like point-n-clicks, can't have enough of them). So, all in all, I guess everybody has his own tastes...
As a side note, there's also the possibility someone from GOG's staff also likes point-n-clicks...

A while ago it was indie platformers and people complained about too many indie platformers, now it's adventures. Maybe the next wave will be for you, don't give up!

Sooooo what genres are YOU looking for?
I don't get how there can be too many point and click adventures. I don't like them that much either but the problem is not that there are too many of them but that there are too few games that aren't point and click adventures. :)

You should be happy that a lot of point and click adventures are released because they mean extra revenue for GOG, which is a good thing as long as DRM-free games aren't the standard.

I will say what I'm looking for.

I want Electronic Arts (EA) to finally release all of the Command & Conquer video games for sale on gog.com without CD Keys, GameSpy, Westwood Online, XWIS, or any other damn Digital Rights Management (DRM) copy protection software.

Judaslscariot PLEASE make it happen already :(. Sick and tired of waiting and waiting and waiting.

Well, mostly RPGs, then I also like games like CIV or GalCiv. I like shooters (FPS) and sometimes I like Aufbaustrategie (don`t know the english word for that kind of games) like Settlers. Hmm, Adventures seem to be the only genre that I completely don`t like. Oh, and I don`t like games that my crappy old computer can`t run. :-)) Oh, and another thing I don`t like is permadeath!!
Part of me is disappointed when a release isn't something I'm super looking forward to, but part of me is also relieved because I still have a lot of games on my wishlist, a lot of games in my backlog, and I want to save some cash for a powerful new computer. I bought stuff like D4 and all the new Telltale games, but I can't even run them. =\ If you've got money to burn, take a risk on something random on GOG's catalog. There's plenty of stuff I've bought on a whim that I considered a risky choice and then turned out to be a great purchase.

I said before, that I can understand that many people like this kind of games and I don`t have anything against releasing P&C games on GOG, I only think it`s too much!! You know Teophrastus Bombastus von Hohenheim? "Ein jeglich Ding an sich ist ein Gift, allein die Dosis macht`s". :-)

Right now gog.com could really use having The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind released for sale, but Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Games Studios love their Digital Rights Management (DRM) very much.

The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind has 24,000 votes on the wishlist. I would purchase 2 copies of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind if Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Games Studios released it for sale with the Construction Set included.

The Steam version of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind does not even include the Construction Set at all, thankfully I still have the Construction Set physical CD disc still working after 13 years.

More like not enough. A lot of us old-schoolers love them, sooo.. no probs here.

I will say if gog.com does not get any major AAA video games released for sale before 2015 end I think I will end up not purchasing video games from gog.com anymore only video games developed by CD Projekt RED and will move back to Electronic Arts (EA's) Origin and Steam, because waiting and saving my cash is just getting annoying.

I did not purchase video games published by Electronic Arts (EA) since I first heard of Origin in 2010 and I stopped purchasing video games from Steam in 2012. but I am tempted to purchase video games like DOOM which might get released for sale in 2016 and Dishonored II from Steam and break my 3 year break I took from Steam all thanks to gog.com being so slow.

But gog.com has been my choice of purchasing video games since 2011 and I really don't want to give up.

I'm with you 100% on this one, as if no one could tell by my snazzy new avatar and title. :P

I'd be happy with just C&C 1 and RA 1 with all expansions.
