Or wouldn't it be grand if the hint was all a lie, and we were getting Sins of a Solar Empire instead, including all the add-ons/expansions, as well as Rebelltion! :D

But then Stardock stopped offering DRM-free :(

I hope it's not specifically The Guild 2 but The Guild 2: Renaissance. The latter isn't perfectly stable but more content and less bugs than others the other expansions and The Guild 2.
I did not find a new thread for this week so I thought I'd continue this one.

Enigmatic Hint for February 28 2014.

It can't be what it looks like so maybe some kind of economic sim?
SIM FARM!!! :-)
Dune 2 - let me harvest some spice melange!
Perhaps, as has been suggested in another thread, Harvester.

One reason this has been suggested is that Night Dive has been hinting that they will re-release Harvester so there's more than speculation to back it up.

Edit: Here's one hint pointing to an article containing Harvester and promising a title from among those listed - https://www.facebook.com/NightDiveStudios/posts/716508981713108?stream_ref=10

The absolute weirdest economy you can imagine. ;)
Can anyone guess as to what other game this weeks hint is referring to? I'm thinking more along the lines of a classic strategy game with harvesting in it. With some of the anticipation coming from some blues in the forums they act as if we may be very surprised as to what's released tomorrow. Maybe a new publisher? A very big release that's been highly requested?

I know harvesting in a strategy game seems like the obvious route, and Harvester has been guessed as a possibility even though it is not a strategy title (and it's still a GOOD guess), but I just figured if anyone had a thought as to what other game it could be, whether or not it's a publisher with GOG, they could share their ideas.

Either way we'll find out tomorrow though :)

People think it might be the game Harvester.
Command & Conquer Ultimate Collection DRM Free

Wouldn't that justify regional pricing?

Well, the most obvious suggestion would be Command & Conquer. But considering EA already released those games on Origin, I'm really not sure they would be willing to release them over here as well.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, the Dune strategy games would also be an idea.

How many times did they act like that in the past? Not so long ago, they acted as if we would be baffled by the latest announcement. And we got a confirmation that Age of Wonder III and The Witcher 3 would indeed be released on gog.... yeah.

I think that Harvester or Farming Simulator are what we should expect . And I would be very careful about wishing "something big" , it could bring us a whole new world of casual games .../sarc

I'm completely fine with whatever comes. I'm not as pessimistic as some folks around here. But I do like to speculate, unconventially and also in ways least expected. And casual games is not going to be the mainstay of the future. If any game store did that they'd fail. Even cell phone app stores sell mobile MMO's and shooters, which I don't classify as casual.

I always wish big :)
