It's a long shot but maybe the game is Mr. Driller the puzzle game with the main character who is the son of the player character from Dig Dug...

Although aside from a shovel being used to dig... that really doesn't match up. XD
(I still hold out hope for Mr. Driller's windows release to make its way to GOG.)

Damn, I hope so, been looking forward to that one.

We should also be getting Quest for Infamy (Quest for Glory inspired adventure/RPG) on that same day. Looks like a good indie day.

First I've heard of this game, but looks really charming. If the playstyle is as good as promised then it will be a nice release to have here.
